  1. His scheme versatility is one of the main reasons I prefer him to Hageman and Jernigan. Especially important since they're talking about running multiple styles of defense. ND ran 3-down about 55% of the time and 4-down the other 45% of the time over the last 2 seasons. He can eat up blockers in a 2-gap but is quick enough to play 1.
  2. Stanford is almost totally out of Harbaugh's hires now. Guess we'll see how good Shaw is at building his own staff.
  3. Nix would be awesome and can play in a 3- or 4-man front.
  4. Just drink the iocane powder already. http://thetorchonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/iocane-powder.jpg haha
  5. Every Kershaw pitch is worth about $9,000. Hahaha
  6. Only? Was expecting him to break 250. Yeah.. weren't there reports that he turned down $300m? That was probably a 10 or 11 year type deal, without the 5-year opt out. I have no idea how a $300 million in guarantee'd money, 10 year deal is considered less outrageous than $215 over 7 with a 5 year opt out. b/c in 5 years, he'll sign another 5-year deal with a total value (of the 10 years) that far exceeds the $300m on the table now. Or, if he gets injured or something, he "only" gets $215m.
  7. Over just 7 years, with a 5-year opt-out. Right. He can be a FA again at 30. Ridiculous.
  8. Holy [expletive]. Kershaw got $215m. http://espn.go.com/los-angeles/mlb/story/_/id/10298436/clayton-kershaw-los-angeles-dodgers-agree-seven-year-deal-worth-215-million
  9. I'm excited to see what Niklas does at the combine. I don't recall the last TE to get multiple personal fouls for blocking - not clipping, not cut blocks, but blocking, in one game he got an "excessive blocking" penalty. And of the course the ladies will love him.
  10. tell me who you want. Start with Cabrera and Kershaw phew! thought for sure you'd say trout. nah, you're having a hard enough time competing as it is
  11. Pruitt probably nearly doubled his salary too, which is nice. From all accounts on my end, he's only getting a $100K base salary bump. Seemingly he would have a quicker progression to a HC spot if he stayed at FSU (and a better shot at another championship), unless he feels that Richt is gone soon and he'll have the inside shot. Apparently he's good friends with the OL coach, who played a big role in landing him. It's difficult to get mad after just winning the whole thing, however. From elsewhere: "According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Florida State defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt is expected to accept the defensive coordinator job at Georgia. According to ESPN's Mark Schlabach, Pruitt will make $850,000 annually. He made about $500,000 at Florida State." Saw from Tallahassee Democrat writer that he took home $950K after incentives this year. Also saw from someone that he owes $75K back to FSU for leaving prior to completing a full year of his contract. So you think he took a job that pays him $100k less? And I'm guessing he's not going to be the one that pays the $75k.
  12. Since Stafford is one of the best QBs of all time, just like Manning, you shouldn't have to worry. or currently just ok, like Flacco? 29th in ypg, 25th in ppg. Yea?

  15. This thread is so full of win.

  17. BK is promoting Denbrock to OC and BK will take back play calling duties.

  19. Not a good couple of days for USC??? Ah, that makes sense.
  20. Several years ago, Texas got Davis from Bama. They let Davis go with the coaching change this year and brought in Chris Rumph also from Bama. When this happened Davis bolted USC to go back to Bama. At the same time Texas brought in Tommie Robinson from USC. Not a couple of days for USC. http://www.cbssports.com/collegefootball/eye-on-college-football/24408940/dl-coach-bo-davis-jumps-from-usc-to-alabama-after-one-week-on-the-job
  21. that doesn't sound like Pedo Bear's Playhouse at all. nope. "Hey kids, step into the First Timers Booth."
  22. Bo Davis has been the DL coach for 3 programs this week. Currently at Bama after a 6-day stint with Sark at USC (who stole him from Texas).
  23. ND officially hires uncle Rico
  24. Yep. I started hating the Cubs after that, even though they remained my favorite team. 20-win, Cy Young award winner who was like 26 or 27 and desperately wanted to stay with his team and they say "don't let the door hit you." Has that happened before or since?
