    How was his WHIP? i'm going to bet that his walk rate was pristine but he got babip'ed like WHOA Only bc official scorers were a little generous when it came to the hit/error decisions. My friend told me that he told parents on the first day of practice that they would spend most of the time practicing fielding because when it came to hitting, he'd just learn the kids' swings and he could make sure he hit the bats. Good strategy if you want to win. Kids are going to be bored out of their skulls at practice. And most at that age need to learn a decent fundamental swing more than anything.

    The rules need to be applied to everyone the same. Other teams beyond the direct opponent are affected by the outcome. Besides, the less subjectivity, the fewer arguments there should be.
