  1. I can't believe how terrible Joe has been the last two games. Just inexcusably awful.
  2. This has been a much more pleasant experience with Pat and Ron synced up to the tv broadcast.
  3. I'm on my third 16 ouncer and have a 2013 Bourbon County lined up if things go well. Fingers crossed.
  4. I'm fighting it already. The realization that this is actually about to go down has finally set in. I'm a mess right now.
  5. also, I'M FREAKING THE horsefeathers OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. Man, this whole team is just the best. I love them so.
  7. Why the horsefeathers is Chapman up? That's monumentally stupid at this point.
  8. Addy looking much more comfortable right now. Hopefully that'll remain the case tomorrow assuming we get there.
  9. I don't think this can be quoted enough. Just absolutely ridiculous.
  10. I just finished the nachos guys. I think it helped.
  11. My gf and I were planning on going to dinner tonight to celebrate our anniversary. Originally, she suggested going early so I could watch the whole game, but I just got a text from her saying she wanted to veg on the couch and have a World Series night at home and, get this, make deluxe nachos!!!!! No prompting from me and she has no idea about the lucky game day nachos. Not all Cardinals fans are terrible people.
  12. This is what I've been thinking all day since seeing the strike zone numbers on West. The Cubs hitters are so adept at judging balls and strikes (at least the first 5-6 guys) that Tomlin being forced to throw actual strikes with average pitches puts the Cubs at a big advantage. If Jake can throw strikes, all that movement on his pitches, even if they are in the zone, makes him tough to square up.
  13. That was absolutely amazing last night! The crowd was really pretty great. I feel pretty optimistic about at least getting to game 7. Question: Was the outside corner to RH hitters as inconsistent as it looked from the left center bleachers?
  14. Agreed re: interleague play. They also need to do away with player stats "resetting" when they're traded between leagues midseason. I'm pretty sure this has already happened.
  15. Hey, everybody who's freaking out, go watch the horsefeathering hype video and believe. This is happening whether you're on board or not.
  16. I agree, it was close enough to call a swing, and certainly not egregious. Still, in a WS game, go to the first base ump is there's even a hint of doubt. you absolutely have to get a 2nd opinion there, and I wouldn't have been upset had the 1st base ump said he went too. but the guy who's watching the ball and not the bat shouldn't be calling that Yep, I thought he probably went, but there's no way in hell the plate ump should make that call.
  17. Get ahold of yourself, man. We can't have the smart people losing it. He's not smart, he just has a lot of good programmers.
  18. I fail to understand why umpires aren't required to ask for help on checks wings. That's something that homeplate umpires just should not be allowed to call. It may not have made a difference tonight, but there's a chance it could have.
  19. Why the hell is the runner going on that pitch? That's an absolutely terrible move and Bryant probably swings at that pitch because of it.
  20. Well, for everybody who thought not starting Heyward was a problem, there's your play.
