    I don't find them that bad. They've been pretty complimentary of the Cubs for the most part and most announcers would probably horsefeathers themselves if they saw where Schwarber ranked among LFers in the advanced stats. That's just laziness So their job is to announce the game and presumably do some research prior to said game and they clearly haven’t done that. Ergo, bad.

    These Brewers announcers are so bad. They gave Braun credit for taking away a homerun when that ball was clearly caught inside the field of play and they were just lamenting how bad Schwarber is at defense on the near catch.

    The only reason I had any hope in that at bat was the fact that the guy pitching had absolutely ridiculously good splits against right-handed hitters and lefties were hitting .288 against him so far this year. Apparently reverse splits are a real thing, at least for tonight anyway.

    That scouting report on Richan sounds an awful lot like Hendricks with the being able to cut pitches in both directions, the velocity, and strike throwing.

    I noticed that yesterday morning and screenshotted the standings and sent to a buddy because I thought it looked so weird. Definitely an oddity I'd never even thought about being a possibility.

    An amazing amount of their ineffectiveness is directly related to the dude running the show. He used their best guy unnecessarily in the game last night with a 5 run lead and then has to go to less reliable guys in a tight game today. He's just flat out bad. It’s part on Matheny, like last night but also that shows how few options he has to trust to close out that spot. It’s also a lot on the FO for assembling a pretty wretched bunch. Yeah, the lack of real options definitely highlights his inability to manage the pen effectively for sure.
