I don't disagree Phil did something slightly sketchy, but having been frustrated AF while playing golf, I totally get it. Regardless, they enforced the rules as written. I do agree that they need to close that loophole too.

Nope, they got it exactly right. The rule people wanted them to use to DQ him explicitly states that if any other rule covers the violation, it takes precedence. In this case, hitting a moving ball is the violation, not attempting to stop a ball in motion. The real travesty is the idiot announcing crew having their panties in a wad over the whole thing and saying Mickelson will have to rebuild his reputation or whatever. just over the top nonsense.
  3. I’m going to need to see some sTAR calculations to prove this (sofa Tinyface Above Replacement).
  4. That was an enjoyable experience for my birthday that was greatly enhanced by Cardinal sadness.
  5. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2780839-national-league-exec-nationals-bryce-harper-overrated-and-a-losing-player I'm dying to know who that executive is. I'd put a small wager on it being someone in the Baltimore FO.
  6. I will be at this game. It is my birthday. Win you [expletive]!
  7. Here's another baseball player who's hateable. https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/mlb/columnist/bob-nightengale/2018/06/13/clay-buchholz-donald-trump-diamondbacks-staff-savior/698215002/
  8. And Nightengale predictably writes a really stupid article about the Pirates and DBacks. https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/mlb/columnist/bob-nightengale/2018/06/12/old-school-baseball-pirates-diamondbacks-beanball-handled-perfectly/694454002/
  9. You should ask him how long it will take to get the Capitals puck set he's advertising now when you get in touch with him.
  10. I just said the exact same thing to a buddy. Outside of the glorious W last night, that's the best thing about that game.
  11. Hahahaha I love him so much Seriously. He's like an amazingly self aware cartoon character.
  12. Man, the free strike was a killer there. Dammit.
  13. I don't find them that bad. They've been pretty complimentary of the Cubs for the most part and most announcers would probably horsefeathers themselves if they saw where Schwarber ranked among LFers in the advanced stats. That's just laziness So their job is to announce the game and presumably do some research prior to said game and they clearly haven’t done that. Ergo, bad.
  14. These Brewers announcers are so bad. They gave Braun credit for taking away a homerun when that ball was clearly caught inside the field of play and they were just lamenting how bad Schwarber is at defense on the near catch.
  15. The only reason I had any hope in that at bat was the fact that the guy pitching had absolutely ridiculously good splits against right-handed hitters and lefties were hitting .288 against him so far this year. Apparently reverse splits are a real thing, at least for tonight anyway.
  16. Gameday had strike three in his face Accurate. It was really bad.
  17. Out until 2020? That seems like a really pessimistic timeline.
  18. That scouting report on Richan sounds an awful lot like Hendricks with the being able to cut pitches in both directions, the velocity, and strike throwing.
  19. I noticed that yesterday morning and screenshotted the standings and sent to a buddy because I thought it looked so weird. Definitely an oddity I'd never even thought about being a possibility.
