  1. Are you suggesting that one of ARam or Wright moves to 1B in that scenario? I'd love to have him especially since, as you said, everything else that will be out there is pretty much crap.
  2. I'm not sure how that's on your side. He puts the blame squarely on the lack of pass protection and then says Cutler has thrown the 12th most (I think?) deep balls of all NFL QBs. On top of that, think about the Rams with Warner at QB. They didn't throw a lot of deep balls either. It's a lot of timing that relies on getting the ball out quickly and hitting your receiver in stride so they can run with it. I just think we're seeing the offense evolve as Martz figure out what everybody does best, and a great example of that is the development of Bennett over the last month or so.
  3. I can't believe there weren't about 8 flags for that hit. The NFL needs to figure out how to get the refs to enforce their mandates on the shots to the head rules.
  4. I think that game last week had more to do with the Steelers not being as good as everybody is giving them credit for on top of the Bills playing about as well as they could have.
  5. I guess we'll have to root for NY when they play GB to help with the division. Does NO play anybody other than Atlanta the rest of the way?
  6. He's going to be bad in RF, not LF (unless something tragic happens to Matt Holliday). They're moving Holliday to Right. That outfield is going to be about as bad as it gets defensively. Hopefully Berkman will continue to be as injured as he's been the last few years.
  7. It doesn't matter how good your mechanics or decision making are when you're on your butt because you couldn't get away from the rush. Now, Jay does make some curious in-pocket decisions on occasion, namely the fumble and the other sack in the 3rd quarter today, but most of these other guys you're talking about don't make the plays Jay can with his feet like the scramble where Suh hit him or the other one where he nearly lost his head from that attempted hit by Delmas.
  8. I think today was a let down game coming off the huge win against Philly. They played like crap against Seattle after winning several in a row. Fortunately, they were just good enough (or Detroit was bad enough) for them to pull it out. It will be exceptionally annoying if they do manage to go 11-5 and don't get in, which I think is pretty unlikely to happen. Too many different things will happen between now and when the season ends.
  9. Is 8/$160 really a bad deal for the production you're going to get? He'll probably hit another 5-8 HR every year getting out of Petco.
  10. Wow, dumbest team ever.
  11. Well, they've got a chance.
  12. Seriously, are the Saints bad or did somebody light a fire under the Bengals asses?
  13. I can only assume the line was 4.5?
  14. They woke up in the 2nd half at least. 50 total yards given up.
  15. Great call and execution.
  16. That's dangerous, they did it to end the first half.
  17. I'd like to know who all these game managing QBs are who have an 80% completion %.
  18. About damn time we got there.
  19. Yeah. It was more of his elbow then forearm. That's even worse.
  20. Punch to the back of the head = cheap shot, yes. Yeah, that's not what happened. Apparently you have a different game on because he jacked him in the back of the head, which, QB or not, is totally illegal.
  21. Way to punch it in. And Ryan trying to justify what Suh just did is absolutely ridiculous.
  22. Nice discipline by the DBs.
  23. That was an awful generous spot on that dive Stanton just made.
  24. Why has Cutler stopped stepping up in the pocket?
  25. Yeah, no. You just saw why they didn't go for it. The Lions are cutting up the Bears' defense today. On 4th and 2 from where they were at, there is no reason to not go for it. The Bears are the better team, act like it. Lovie has no balls when it comes to going for it Why would you give the Lions 25 yards to get to FG range with a minute left? You don't. You have confidence you can get the damn first down because you're the better team.
