    Phillies are having a very Cub like inning against SF. Hit by the pitcher, flare by the leadoff guy, double by Sanchez and then a squibber down the 1st base line that Howard flipped into the first base dugout all ending in 3 runs scored so far.

    That would be soul crushing after all this for Gregg to give it away in the ninth. I've been preparing for the worst since the 4th inning. Oh, so have I. It would just have been less painful for it to have heppened in the 6th or something than for it to get this far and then give it away.

    Cards just got pretty lucky. Lugo was meat at 3rd trying to stretch a double and the ball pegged him in the back about 12 feet from the bag. Then of course Holliday knocked him in.

    Looks like Houston may actually try tonight. It's definitely their best shot at a win with Boggs pitching tonight and Carp and Wainwright going the next 2 games.
