This. A 41-year old QB with a bum shoulder who can't run? Yes, please. Especially if it's outside at TCF. Yeah, I have a hard time believing he'll be in any shape to play with a purple hand/arm that's obviously not getting normal circulation and feeling. Plus, this is normally a 3-4 week injury and they're going to end up playing outside. Not a good recipe for him to be ready and able to play.

No I'm pretty sure it is. That gives us a 2 game lead with 2 to play and we win on the tiebreaker if it ends in a tie. It is true. I just wanted to throw everyone off since we answered that a couple of times earlier in the last few pages. Sorry I'm in a sarcastic kind of mood. Well thanks smartass!! especially with boozer posting up. rose is going to get some open threes. that's what's been happening the past few games and rose has been knocking them down cleanly. I've actually been able to watch their last 2 games and it was almost comical how open he was on most of the threes he took. That shot he drilled from the corner was ridiculous. And TT is right, if he develops that consistent of a jumper, holy crap, how do you defend a guy that quick and strong?

Part of the problem today is they went zone and that slowed the offense down a ton. It looked like the only guy who knew how to properly flash in the lane was Richmond. Everybody else, including the Mikes were just floating and not making decisive cuts so the guards could get them the ball.

I'm feeling better about my prediction unfortunately. It's not going to be as high scoring as I thought due to weather, but this is going to be ugly I think.

Yeah, sounds like they're leaning that way. They have all the essential personnel in place for the Packers/Lions game today, and sounds like they'll just keep them in place one more day for the game tomorrow night. My money is on the game being played in Detroit. I suppose that makes more sense since the Rams are in NO this week. Having all the equipment and personnel is something I hadn't thought about. There's going to be nobody there, regardless of where they decided to play it.

Honestly, St. Louis really makes the most sense. And that would be kind of cool because I could probably go to the game and root for the Vikings (ewww). That helps the Bears the most right?

Yeah, and they got there by playing great defense and a frustratingly painful to watch offense. I was just using a hypothetical, nothing that Illinois has necessarily had. I just really think that unless his version of motion has a very good PG, they'll struggle to score. Honestly, with the athletes they've got now, I'd rather see them play an ACC brand of basketball and run a whole lot more, even with DMac out there.

Still with this [expletive]? Not really, this was more directed to how much I think a true freshman PG will play under Weber, especially one with doubts about how much of a true PG he really is. What about the rest of what I said that you chose to ignore?

It's even better in super slo-mo because of crappy download speeds. I think we get housed. Patriots 38-21. I think Brady is going to pick the defense apart with the underneath stuff and they won't be able to get off the field on 3rd down. I really hope I'm wrong.

Yeah, but if you have 4 stars everywhere but PG, the offense will still not flow well. If you have 4 3 stars and a 4 star PG, that offense will look a lot better. And that's the point. There won't be a true PG next year (other than a freshman, and we all know how well/much they play under Weber), so regardless of all the other talent on the roster, I think the offense is going to struggle a bit.

I read back through the last couple pages trying to figure out what sparked this little diatribe on Weber and still have no idea. I was thinking they lost to Oakland at first, but then saw it was just one of those games where they just flew halfway across the country and are probably in the middle of or about to start finals and were just a little less focused than you might like. Anyway, firing Weber at this point would be monumentally stupid. He's fine until Jerrance goes elsewhere and then he might have some issues again unless the bridges have been built to the Chicago recruits and he can keep getting guys, but I'm skeptical of that. Whoever said his version of the motion offense isn't all that great is right. They run way too much of the stand around and throw up a shot at the last minute crap. They're really going to struggle next year without a true PG to bail them out like DMac does all the time.
