  1. He's an investor in the Suns and his brother is the de facto owner. He'll be the de facto owner of the Sox and his brother is an investor. Weird set up but definitely precludes them from having an ownership interest in the Bulls.
  2. I voted Boyd. He's #13 in ERA and he's 1/3 of an inning from being top 30 in innings pitched. He's gone 6+ in 11/16 starts, only 2 of those 5 since April and one of them was Seattle when he came out because of injury. He's been an absolute rock in the rotation with Steele and Shota down.
  3. As expected, Fulmer DFA to make room for Shota.
  4. They've also been incredibly fortunate health wise. McGreevy has taken some spot starts to mostly keep their regular starters on a 5 day rest pattern but outside of that, those 5 guys have started every game. A rotation injury would really hurt them.
  5. Why are we comparing him to Taillon when he'd be replacing Rea in the rotation, who has a 4.35 xFIP and a 5.23 xERA?
  6. I don't know if today was typical of what Little has been doing of late, but he threw too many non-competitive pitches. A walk and was 3-1 on the next guy before he got him to pop out. I will say the camera angle in Iowa makes it a bit difficult to really get a good look at where pitches are so that may have affected my perspective a bit.
  7. Caissie has 4 walks on the day. Ballesteros just got a hit and was the last Cub to get a hit today.
  8. I said PCA would have caught it if he was in LF, but that's a pretty high defensive bar to clear. I don't think there's many guys who make that play, especially because that ball just kept carrying even though it didn't appear to be all that well struck off the bat.
  9. A. Stop trying to replace Hoerner with garbage from other teams. B. What evidence suggests Swanson will need to be moved off of SS?
  10. These things may all be true but the pop ups and other garbage on the Fangraphs website makes it a real pain in the ass to use. Therefore, i declare bWAR to be better. 🤣
  11. Way to completely change the argument you originally made from "we don't need you opinions" to "this isn't a climate change forum". Pretty typical from those who don't really have a leg to stand on in their argument.
  12. Liberatore hasn't been good against an actual major league team since late May, so hopefully the Cubs can join in on the fun. I was at that KC game and he got torched.
  13. Has to be a 3 day audition for the rest of the league right? I have to imagine he's gone as soon as Shota is activated on Thursday.
  14. It really sounds like the noise is about Alcantara and he's been better of late, so I tend to believe something with him may be getting close.
  15. Levine seems to be convinced they're going to jump the market for a pitcher, possibly even this week. He doesn't usually come out with something that strong without some smoke so I'd bet there's something to it.
  16. He very clearly and concisely cited his sources for everything he wrote. You don't seem to understand the difference between opinion and fact.
  17. Hyperbole much? It's baseball and the Mariners aren't exactly a bad team.
  18. The BA and xBA numbers today are going to be quite disparate.
  19. I don't understand why he's seeing strikes.
  20. Carson Kelly is also not a career .100 hitter, so he's going to have a bounce as well.
  21. And guess what? Even at this level of offensive performance, he's at 0.9 bWAR.
  22. I think it's over a month until the trade deadline and if he doesn't show some improvement by then, I'll probably agree with you, but jumping the gun on a rookie when we saw this exact situation play out with a prospect of similar caliber last season seems a bit premature, no?
  23. Okay, now go look at PCA's numbers before and after July 1st last year.
  24. PCA peaked at 14 and Shaw at 23 so you're just talking out your ass here.
