  1. If you want something else to piss you off, go take a look at Mujica's numbers before/after he got traded to STL.
  2. Yeah, it's so much worse living amongst so many ass-clown fans who have no clue how truly ridiculous their luck has been since 2006.
  3. What's the penalty for going over IFA budget?
  4. If you put the DH in the field you lose the DH.
  5. Eff. We're going to end up with a worst case scenario Cards-Yankees world series aren't we?
  6. Wait, was Lincecum really not going to get a start in the NLDS? I know he's been bad this year but that really surprises me. I hope the Giants win because I don't think anybody else really has the starting pitching to shut down the Cards offense.
  7. Career-high OPS in the minors: .702, 2010, AA Springfield. OPS last year in the hitter-friendly PCL: .569. OPS this year in the hitter-friendly PCL: .647. This is the thing that bothers me most about Cardinals fans. They have no clue that this guy who just got called up is an absolutely worthless player and he's pulling this recent streak out of his ass. Then they're amazed at the references to pixie dust and the hate they get from other teams' fans. It's unbearable down here during playoff time.
  8. I'm sort of embarrassed I know who that is. Also, you need to find yourself a lady!
  9. Was this the one in the endzone or did I miss another one?
  10. Yes, absolutely. Just so I don't have to listen to any more of the "watch the games, Billy Beane's never won anything" morons.
  11. It's not even the first time we've had this plan. It's not? Andy MacPhail says, "Hi." I don't think draft all the pitching you can, completely neglect position player development, and try to band aid the rest is nearly the same plan Theo has in mind.

That's a lot of hostility for someone who is taking a perfectly reasonable position. For somebody in a position and with a reputation different than Boras, yeah, you're 100% right. But he very clearly has an agenda attached to his opinion and because of that, I agree with the OP. And, like Levine said, they've been pretty transparent about this whole thing.
  13. Once the doctor's say he is healed there really isn't a chance for re-injury. I don't think the Bulls management has a better idea than the doctors. As long ad Rose listens to the doctors he is okay. Babying him further just delays a process that is mostly mental. I couldn't disagree with this more. There's still a process of rebuilding not only strength in the knee, but the stamina to withstand long workouts and back to back games. If he overdoes it, there's a good chance he'll end up with some other overuse injury, like blowing a hamstring, if he's not monitored. It's a lot more involved than just making sure the knee is good to go. There's going to be some different mechanics that all the other muscles and tendons will have to get used to.
  14. Because the overtime is "sudden death" and a touchdown ends overtime by rule. In the instance of last night's game, they could block the extra point, return it for 2 points and still win the game. They did change that rule in the NFL a couple years ago didn't they?
  15. I see we're sending out our stopper tonight.
  16. Not sure where else to put this, but I hope Rosenhaus gets nailed to the wall by the NFLPA for this: http://sports.yahoo.com/news/nfl--prominent-nfl-agent-drew-rosenhaus-scrutinized-for-relationship-with-former-financial-adviser-.html
  17. That looked like a concussion shot. I wouldn't be surprised if he's out for a while.
  18. Tillman got eaten alive on that drive. I hope he's just a little gassed and not suddenly bad.
  19. Sounds like a situation similar to Adam Wainwright. Partial tear that held up for quite a few years before he tore it completely. Who knows, you get him developed and then he tears it, he's only coming back from the injury and not trying to learn how to pitch at the professional level and coming back from injury.
  20. I was just looking at Lake's stats. He has a pretty significant reverse platoon split this year. Is this a normal thing for him or just and anomaly for this year? Not a huge SS for him facing lefties this year, but still found it interesting.
  21. And Alvarez leads off the 19th with a dinger! Go Bucs!
  22. Headed to the 18th tied at 3 in St. Louis. Juan Cruz (didn't know he was still pitching) just blew a save for the Pirates in the 17th.
  23. Good to see after throwing 36 pitches thru 2 that Arroyo has only thrown 33 in the last 3 innings. #-o
  24. I'm sure you're not the first to do that, but I rather like it!
  25. Looked more like old and tired after the marathon match in the semis.
