He was an obvious pick, not a good one. Teixeira was the pick they should have made that year. Hands down, no questions asked. If he was drafted as a 1B, I couldn't disagree with you more. If there was a thought he could stick at 3B or in the OF, I might agree with that. Top flight arms are so hard to find (and keep healthy) that when you have an opportunity like Prior, with his perfect mechanics and great stuff, I just don't think you can chance passing it up. You can build a solid offense without a super elite bat, but it's tough to win big without that TOR arm.
