  1. He's actually been pretty consistent. He's giving the low strike and the inside edge to a righty/outside to a lefty. I'm the first to bitch about a bad zone, but I really haven't had a problem with the way this has been called tonight.
  2. Well, this guy's strike zone is huge, so not surprising. Yeah the strike two to Nava was well outside. Yeah, but the last couple strikes to the last batter in the bottom of the 3rd were questionable in my book, so I'm not bitching about it.
  3. Well, this guy's strike zone is huge, so not surprising.
  4. Screw it. Just bring them all up and see what happens. I'm kidding. Mostly.
  5. Yeah, he's like the anti Theo. Didn't he say something about his 2B looking at statistics too much and it screwing him up? I have to think this is just a stalling tactic until Lovullo is available for an interview.
  6. Anybody think Jeremy Kerley of the Jets is a worthwhile add this week in a pinch as a Flex?
  7. Oh, I agree, but I could make sense of it. Now if the end result of this process turns out to be a total and utter failure, then I think a lot of people will jump ship. As for me, I've been a fan since the 80's, so I feel like it can't get a whole lot worse than what I've already experienced. But we'll see, I guess. Yeah, this it about right for me. I got sucked in during the '84 season when I turned 8. The thing that's really made it worse is living in St. Louis in the midst of this stupidly great run they're having with Busch Stadium in sight from my office window.
  8. I hate them, but even a lot of people outside of the Midwest are getting really tired of seeing the Cardinals in late October. Yep, this run has really gotten their fans on their high horse, especially on the TBFIB front. It's vomitous.
  9. Putting him in a spot where he's more likely to have to tackle RBs on a regular basis than at CB seems counter intuitive to me when you're trying to keep him away from injuries.
  10. I have Bradford, Cutler, Cobb, and Wayne.
  11. Keenan Allen? I picked him up last week when Cobb went down. If I can get decent numbers from him and find a reasonable QB, I might be okay because I have Charles at RB and a newly effective Ridley. I just need to not get crushed the next 4 weeks to still have a shot at the end. I've gotten trade proposals from 3 different guys today for Charles and would have pulled off Cutler and Charles for Rodgers and Reggie Bush had Cutler's diagnosis been better.
  12. UPDATE: My roster is screwed. Lost Cobb last week for 4-6 weeks, Cutler for 4-6 weeks this wee, Bradford (not great, but better than any waiver wire crap out there) for the season with an ACL, and also lost Reggie Wayne for the season with an ACL last night. So much for my 4-1-1 record and #2 spot in total points.
  13. Yeah, add in the fact that his o-line has mostly been bad and he hasn't had much in terms of weapons outside of Steven Jackson until this year and you can make a case that he's a solid QB.
  14. Nothing like both of your QBs getting broken on the same day. Fortunately, I got destroyed because my opponent had a huge day and I likely wouldn't have won even with a non negative 1 from Cutler yesterday.
  15. I have to admit I like the "fans sing the anthem" thing. That's pretty neat. Why does your sig have a penis chin?
  16. Aramark ran the food at my college. They are horrendous. Yeah, that company should probably be out of business. They provided lunches for a private school I worked at. They were indelible most of the time. I can understand the stains being permanent from eating that stuff, but I'm pretty sure you meant inedible.
  17. I'm not sure if this is brilliant satire or if this guy is a giant idiot. I didn't read all that closely, but the comments are gold. http://www.grantland.com/blog/the-triangle/post/_/id/78149/hotsportstakes-the-dodgers-are-a-disgrace
  18. Ouch, that sucks. I'm dominating if that makes you feel any better!
  19. Shane Robinson homer in the NLCS? Seems about right.
  20. You can stuff your sorries in a sack!
  21. Depends if you think he has player development pixie dust. Yep. If he's really that guy, which with the way many of the Rays young guys have developed, I have no reason to think he's not, he'd be well worth giving up something of value to get.
  22. right? i watched that game in a DORM ROOM. because i was a freshman in undergrad. that was so long ago. the way things are going now, i'll be watching the next cubs playoff game from the inside of a coffin. I had been living in St. Louis for 10 months. I was enjoying the Cubs success and had no idea how awful the fans down here were yet. There wasn't much better than crushing their hopes in that 5 game series around Labor Day. I've now been living in St. Louis for 10 years and everything is terrible now. :(
  23. Photos without context are spiffy I'm no PSU apologist, but it certainly looks like that dude is bleeding from the eye area like he'd been in some sort of altercation before security got to him. And he's a Michigan fan, so I'm generally okay with it anyway!
  24. What's the rationale of having Hendricks behind Cabrera even after having more success at AAA while starting? Still not convinced Hendricks' stuff will work at the next level or just higher on Cabrera's ceiling?
  25. Yep. It's so much worse living here when the fans are so obnoxious about it because they have nothing else going on in their lives.
