    Ha! Jake Davis is becoming quite the folk hero amongst the fan base. Kid is a riot to listen to.

    That doesn't surprise me a ton after what Counsell asked him to do in the playoffs being the bridge from the starters to the rest of the pen and also mostly being a fireman in those situations coming into dirty innings. I have to believe that instilled a ton of confidence in him.

    Are you talking about Illinois here? because if so, they were down 2 starters last night and only played 6 guys in an overtime game. I'm not worried about them at all assuming they can get healthy. They're so big and shoot the ball really well and should be a tough out for almost anyone.

    You can probably get away with just the 2 of them out there and add an extra IF to prevent that from being a possibility. 😜

    That or non-garbage officiating. The lack of a bench last night really killed Illinois. The missed free throws at the end of regulation by Wagler and in OT by Mirkovic were very obviously fatigue related because they were short or bricks from guys who don't typically do either of those things at the line. I wish Underwood would have given Lee a few more minutes here and there to get Wagler and Humrichous a little more rest.

    The Patriots overall weren't very good and got where they did on the back of a weak schedule and beating CJ Stroud and Jarrett Stidham in the playoffs.

    That damn holding penalty screwed my Seattle money line/Stevenson TD/Walker TD parlay. Bastards. I did cash my Seattle to win bet I placed after they beat the 49ers at least and that was reasonably profitable.

    You should be able to click on the choose files link in the text box for a new message and add them from your photo library on your phone. I've never had an issue going that route.

    Wagler doesn't turn the ball over nearly as much, is a better shooter, and a more willing defender. He's an easy top 10 pick at this point barring something weird happening the rest of the year.

    While I was drunk on Saturday night I placed a 10 leg college basketball parlay and actually hit it. It was all really good odds so my $10 bet only paid like $36 but it was fun to wake up Sunday morning and start following it while the games were happening.

    I'm not sure it's regression so much as they just played 2 of the likely top 5 teams in the country and were missing 2 guys for one of them and Mast was maybe 75% yesterday. I do think they're going to struggle against teams with size and athleticism (say, Florida) based on how they got dominated on the boards yesterday by Illinois. Illinois also only shot 30% from deep yesterday vs 43& from Nebraska. That game probably shouldn't have been as close as it was. Humrichous in particular usually knocks down a couple and he was 0-5.

    Mirkovic is a tank. That dude is going to be able to play until he's 50. He's got major old man game.

    Encouraging to me that they won comfortably without even playing that well. A couple big 3s by Humrichous were key but the Huskies were never really that close.

    I'd be shocked if that happens unless last year's draft class completely falls on their face collectively. Development from that group should fill in some of the gaps in AA by the end of the season.

    I was absolutely wrecked by the end of the Rams game. Shared a couple barrel aged stouts with a friend before I headed down, then had a couple cans of VSOR and a few shots before going into the game and didn't need much to keep that buzz alive for the whole game.
