  1. /dropping everything to start making trade offers for Soriano in fantasy leagues
  2. Pretty weak, IMO. And also reality. Right from DeRo's own mouth, right on to the field. Is that you, Jay?
  3. If I were Lou, I would not have left Lilly in the game well past the point of sucking. What's the point of having Lieber in the pen if you aren't going to use him?
  4. Cedeno is hitting .500. Theriot is hitting .190. THE CHOICE IS CLEAR!
  5. You would have preferred to see it fail? Sometimes you have to lose a battle to win a war.
  6. SPARK PLUG! Time for a hit and run!
  7. One more reason to hate Hendry/Lou. If you carry 12 pitchers, you don't need to worry about double switches so much. Take Hart out and let one of the other 7 relievers pitch the next inning.
  8. He is our spark plug. How will the engine run without its spark plug?
  9. I wouldn't. The hit and run is is stupid. It should never be used. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid.
  10. "[Earl] Weaver claims to have never had a sign for the hit and run, citing that the play makes both the baserunner and the hitter vulnerable, as the baserunner is susceptible to being caught stealing and the hitter is required to swing at any pitch thrown." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Earl_Weaver
  11. Braun does have massive platoon splits. I'm normally not a fan of intentional walks, but this one doesn't bother me much.
  12. That's what the Twins think. Makes little sense to me, though. Just have a long reliever ready and let him pitch in the bigs.
  13. 205. Ryan "Donnie" Garko 206. Ubaldo Jimenez 207. Nate McLouth 208. Jose Guillen 209. Whoever the hell earth2sean picked 210. Jason Isringhausen 211. Kevin Gregg 212. Troy Percival
  14. Just PM me with your first and last name (for whatever reason the Yankees require that info) and I'll send them right away.
  15. I keep forgetting to change my location in my profile. I used to live in Wilmette, and I still spend some time there in the summer, but I live and work in Nashville now.
  16. Yanks/Blue Jays Wednesday, April 2 @ 7:05 I've got season tickets in the bleachers, but I won't be in New York and can't make the game. I can forward two tickets by email to anyone who wants them. They're free.
  17. I can come pretty close. I set up some boxes once at about that height (after i saw those videos), just knicked them with my shoe. I can also touch an 8' ceiling with my elbow (I'm 5'7"). /bragging about my short-guy hops I'm 5'9". As a teenager, I could come close to hitting my head on the bottom of a basketball rim. I'm not sure if I ever did better than a 48" vertical leap. My hands aren't big enough to palm a ball, so I had to dunk with two hands. I had my first knee surgery at 20. I'm not sure if anyone's ever done better than a 48" vertical leap. I know that you are in love with yourself but please spare the rest of us. There are lots of athletes that can do in the neighborhood of 48" or better. For me, it proved to be a pretty useless talent, and I'm definitely not in love with myself.
  18. I will. Fact is, our league can't start until April 7. By then, if IMB waits to input the rosters, Cueto will be available, so there really isn't any reason why he shouldn't be on my team. my only gripe was that I specifically asked him about drafting players who weren't listed on Yahoo and he said we couldn't. it's possible someone else might have drafted Cueto before you did. but hey, unless Cueto wins the league for you, it's not that big a deal Eh, it's a little bigger of a deal since it's a keeper league. I didn't see where you asked him that, so that's my bad. Keeper league or not doesn't really make a difference in this case, does it? Dusty is his manager, so he's toast after 2008, anyway. And is your first name really "Wolf?"
