  1. No, I'm pretty sure you have to have an AB for it to count. They were discussing this earlier in the year when Johnny Damon was hitting for however many games he did, but I forget the conclusion they came to. I think you HAVE to have an AB, but I'm not 100%. Yes, this was the least informative post in the world.
  2. Wonder of wonders, mlb.tv is actually working... usually it stalls on me all the time. Yes, but we have Cardinals coverage, unless I'm doing something wrong. Edit - pronoun I guess - I have the sound off. Good choice.

  4. Yesterday's, they cut in from a freeze-frame with them waving, and cut out on the same, thus giving the impression that they were waving forever, and we just saw an edited highlights.
  5. Indeed. And it means Pujols is up first next inning, too.
  6. That striped bass thing... it blew my mind. Edit - I meant this to go in the other thread, but I chose the wrong window.
  7. Fair enough - I was speaking more from second hand than first hand experience.
  8. Thanks for this. I've been listening to the DJaxx for the last week or so, since I found out I could, and I might add some other affiliates to my 'what I've done recently' table. Thanks again.
  9. It swings, doesn't it? If we could be guaranteed an outing like yesterday every time he came out (or even every other time) to pitch, there'd be no question. But we can't. I think I'd like to see him finish at the end of the year, unless he keeps the standard of yesterday up until that point. Its tough. He has won more games this year than any other Cubs pitcher, after all.
  10. I'll 'guess' at Hollandsworth having seen his stats today. Edit - kept putting things in wrong place.
  11. Go to Italy or France, too, and you'll see the same. Edit - it sounded like an insult.
  12. NB - I started the thread this early because I started yesterday's this early, and that worked out well.
  13. Man. Two pitchers who like to swing the bat, too. Cards are 73-42 Cubbies are 55-60 Cards are in a one game losing streak, and haven't won a single baseball game for over 30 hours. Cubbies are in a one game winning streak and haven't lost even one game in more than a day. :) Go Cubs!
  14. I WISH I'd seen the highlights. It must be embarrassing once, but twice :!: :?: :!: I simply can't comprehend.
  15. It does, man, how about Latin? Lucky Foot. (Think of rabbits and you've got your man) Edit - didn't read above.
  16. I'm just glad the game is on CSN so I can't watch it. My MVP 2005 Cubs are much to better to watch anyway. I find my MVP Cubs depressing. They're quite good, you see, at winning games, and scoring runs and that. (Although, appropriately, a lot come from HRs....)
  17. On previous form, even if/when the game starts.... No.
  18. I lost a bet already. :( . I said the Cubs would be three down before my hair was cut. They aren't. It is. I'm £1 down.
  19. Five for maybe. Presumably people unsure as to whether the apocalypse will come before or after the Cubs next win. I sure wouldn't like to hazard one.
  20. I've been listening to the DJaxx all week - ever since I came to terms with the fact the Cubbies aren't worth my time, and that I CAN listen to the DJaxx.
  21. Man. I'm nervous about this. Cards are 73-41. Cubbies are 54-60. Cards have won four straight. Cubbies have lost eight straight. GO CUBS!
  22. I've done that for a while every time I come into my house. I also annoy my friends here who don't give a crap about baseball by asking them apropros of nothing - they say "Guess what?" and I say "Dusty was fired?" they say "No" I say "What...." and it kinda tails off for me there.
  23. I'm getting to acceptance, slowly. I'm in depression at the moment. Having said that, as I walked into the cinema tonight at 1-1, I said to my friend, oooh, we'll be down 5-1 by the time the film starts. Yes, there was a queue, but I was still right.
