I care about homers & power, but I think with Lee and A-Ram, that side of it is covered for a couple of years. Patterson, too, if his performance is satisfactory (I've only seen a few ABs since he came back up, I was mildly impressed, but not blown away) has power in there, too. So, yes, the good average hitter would be nice. Drive round a few runners and then be on base when the big boys come up. Its nothing new for the Cubs this year to be thought short of that.
