I'm guessing the third pitcher the Astros would ask for would be Rich Hill. I'd still do it Perhaps, but if the Cubs have to eat a majority of the contract, then it's a must the Cubs get a Ceda like prospect with Oswalt. Gallagher/Marshall and Hill is worth more to the Cubs then Roy Oswalt. If the Cubs are built to win now, then no, they aren't. But do you HONESTLY think Houston would trade Oswalt to the Cubs? I realize teams needs to stop looking at trade within their division as taboo, and start thinking it about your rival helping you LATER. Now, I would trade all three of Hill/Marshall/Gallagher. Hill or Marshall would have to be taken out of the deal, and replace with perhaps two decent prospects (Colvin and.......). Honestly, I don't think the Astros will trade Oswalt for anyone. However, he has already said that he wants to retire at the end of this contract (2011) and the Astros will not win anything this year or next, and an Oswalt trade (along with a Berkman trade) could net them a great young group of players. Honestly, for Oswalt and Berkman, I'd give them Patterson, Colvin, Marmol, Hill, Murton, AND Gallagher. Z, Oswalt, Lilly, Dempster, and Marquis would be solid. Soriano, Fukudome, Lee, Berkman, ARam, Derosa, Soto, Cedeno? Yeah, that would absolutely rock.
