  1. WTF was the Zona post player thinking? He had an open 6 footer, with a lane, and GAVE IT UP?!? For an unnecessary 3?!? You don't deserve to win playing like that.
  2. #1 needs to be ironed out. #2 is this Sunday. We need to get rolling people. A week after the deadline, 4 teams are still illegal. They may illegal but that could be because they don't have enough players to fill all positions right now (like mine). I am going to start going team by team tonight to see if everyone has dropped below the 1800 cap. It will probably take me a couple days since I am at the busiest part of the month at work. That's what I meant by illegal. Incarcerated Scarfaces, Banedon, Ocho Loco, and Gutless Choking Dogs.
  3. If you get to keep 2000 points, ARod can take up 1/3 of those. I can think of several reasons not to keep ARod. For example: ARod costs me 700 points out of 2000. I draft first. I drop ARod, and keep more guys, then draft him. Or, I also have Garrett Atkins on my team, and my pitching was young and should be maturing into a great staff. I keep those pitchers, because ARod's value is not as high, relatively speaking. On my team, I got to keep 1800 points, and players with 3 or fewer years of service are points exempt. If I had had ARod, instead of Atkins (who is points exempt), keeping Alex would have meant dropping BJ Upton and Jake Westbrook. That would have been worth it. But, if it had meant dropping Jimmy Rollins and AJ Burnett, I don't think it would have been. Especially considering that guys like Miguel Cabrera and ARam were also released and available int he draft. It's all relative.
  4. I like your pitching, but your offense is just okay. ARod is great, but I don't think you got the best player at any other position.
  5. Torii Hunter cannot be the best player available in your draft.... no way. You need to give more info than you have for anyone to be helpful. HOw many points do you get to keep? H2H or Roto? Are players points exempt for a number of years? What SS and 2B are available in the draft?

  7. 1. Can we fill the extra spots already? Not knowing who's available for the draft makes it tough to prepare for the draft, and I've got an extremely hectic next month. Being able to prepare early would be pretty helpful. 2. Is it possible, until the season starts to make sure that team names are consistent? The standings show one set of names, and the draft shows another. OKay, let's get started. I am looking forward to it this year. (In case the flood of messages I have left on this forum didn't make that clear.)
  8. Vine, my offer is better. \:D/ Vine, it would serve you well to note that mooch recently traded an injured player who may not play out the season for the best CF in the game, and TWO top prospects. The guy's a scam artist! ;)
  9. Vine... Check my trade offer. You have tons of exempt pitching, but not much exempt offense. I have the opposite, hence the offer.
  10. #1 needs to be ironed out. #2 is this Sunday. We need to get rolling people. Empty slots need to be filled immediately. That is the only way to get the ball rolling. #2 cannot happen until #1 does.
  11. Clint, you cannot possibly believe this. You got the best CF in the game, and you got him for a guy who is *very* unlikely to play a full season. Even if Pujols plays a full season, Fantasy VORP favors Sizemore, PLUS you got two more exempt players. I just don't see any way in which you got the short end of this deal.
  12. 17. Thanks, CR. Not that I expect him to ever take a snap in Knoxville, but it would be nice to know that we didn't just throw away a football scholarship on the kid. I hope to see him playing for the Diamond Vols next season (because I cannot imagine that he'll ever see the field in football.)
  13. The package you got for a guy who is unlikely to play the entire year is astonishing. Do you have naked pics of Tim or something? And I was thinking after the deal that I got hosed since Tim jumped on it so quickly. Pujols is playing with an injured shoulder, and has stated that he won't play the full year hurt if they're out of it. That means that by June, you'll still have a premier CF, and two exempt players for a guy who will end up playing half an injured season. HOw is it possible for you to have gotten hosed? Best I can guess, Tim is unaware of Pujols injury or stance on playing hurt.

  15. I'm not subscribing to BA just to find the answer to this, but where does Casey Kelly rank among high schoolers?
  16. Also, do we know if Goony is in? I still have yet to hear anything from him or Dustin, and there are 3-5 folks expressing interest injoining us in the General Fantasy Sports forum. Tim.. I'll be paypaling you soon.
  17. I prefer it to Yahoo. Yahoo is my least favorite of al the websites I have ever used.
  18. Once Sampson is canned, I have to wonder if IU comes sniffing around Bruce Pearl? I doubt that he'd leave what he's building in Knoxville, but it would most assuredly be interesting. Is there anything that could make Illini fans hate IU any more than Pearl being the head coach?
  19. And about when I hit "submit," it stopped being crazy. Arkansas has it put away now with a 75-69 final.. 4 game winning streak and 17-5 with a huge game against Tennessee coming up on Wednesday. A win would be enormous for the Hogs. Sonny Weems has been outrageous lately. I guess he's campaigning for NBA consideration. Since the new year, Weems is averaging 19.7 PPG, 5.6 RPG ans 2.8 APG while shooting 49.7% from the field, 48.2% from 3, and 83.3% from the line. He's an athletic swingman at 6-6 and shoul get some serious looks in the pros if he keeps this up. Weems had a pretty decent game tonight, but Jajuan Smith was just a man among boys. Arkansas came in expecting to dominate the paint, and it just did not happen. Tennessee cruises, which is a little surprising, as Arky was playing good basketball. Pomeroy has us at #15. RRIIIIIIIIIIIGGGGHHHHTTTTT.....
  20. Memorial Coliseum in Nashville is typically a very difficult place for visitors to get wins. It's easily a top 3 Home Court Advantage in the SEC, behind Rupp and now Thompson Boling Arena.
  21. Contact Tim or Moochpuppy for info...
  22. For the Record... With these keepers and two first rounders, I think Slainte has the potential to be extremely good this season.
  23. OKay. Just hadn't had any luck getting their attention through CBS.
  24. Just curious...
  25. Johjima, Kendrick and Duncan are your 3 major leaguers who are exempt. Reyes is your ONLY non-exempt pitcher on your major league roster.
