  1. 1/3 of the way through the season and Milton has been completely worthless. Surprise, surprise. In regards to Patton - seriously - why is this guy on the team? He blows, and has pitched twice in the past month. I think it's time for Hendry to choke on a Krispy Kreme - maybe the brief lack of oxygen would jumpstart his brain into thinking mode...

  3. In addition to his troubles at the plate (which improved in May), he's only thrown out 6 of 32 runners. I think his shoulder is still messed up...
  4. I see nothing wrong with firing Hurdle, either. He's an awful mgr., and it's been reported numerous times that he didn't have much support from the players. Replacing him with Tracy is a lateral move, though...
  5. That lefty-lefty matchup worked out great! =D>
  6. uh oh.... http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd ... p&c_id=mlb
  7. If the Rox would give up Atkins for DeRo, surely we could put together something for Atkins. Atkins literally looks like a player at the end of his career, yet his age tells otherwise. I don't think he will be contributing much this year...
  8. I'm sure it won't happen, but I'd love to see Hendry bring him back.
  9. Yahoo says 14mph, out to center. I never would have dreamed that Theriot would have a multi-homer game!
  10. I don't understand why Fox is still on the roster, or for that matter, why he ever was. He's pitched a total of 24 innings from 2004-present with an era around 6...
  11. Love it.
  12. It looks like he's started the last 12 games... I wish he'd go away.
  13. I think Santo should sing it every day. This guest conductor crap grew old a long time ago. I agree. =D>
  14. And they have all received far more attention than this one has received. I hadn't heard much of anything about this performance until this thread was created. Front page article on multiple websites yesterday and was all over talk radio. Most of the performances in the booth are equally as bad, and you don't hear about every one of them.
  15. I don't get it. Yes, she's tone deaf and she was just yelling the words; however, there have been numerous performances significantly worse than hers...
  16. I don't get it...if the Cubs threw that kinda team on the field we'd be lucky to win 60 games. They're not gonna get too far if they continue to lead the league in errors.
  17. I agree. Harden was coming off an outing where he went deep, and I thought his FB speed in that outing was perfectly acceptable. He dialed it up to 95-96 when he needed to. He is varying the speed of FB by design... http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/players/7180/splits;_ylt=At1X4QGdnsqX5ez.n.Cx6j2FCLcF?year=2008&type=Pitching ?
  18. I don't understand this move at all. Our bullpen has sucked, so we get rid of the guy who hasn't given up a run and who we owe 3.5 million? Obviously he's pitching above his head with that strand rate, but still... Also, why are we bringing up the Shark to pitch out of the pen when he was supposed to be working on his secondary pitches and getting stretched out in IA? That's a stupid gamble given the potential for injury in this rotation.
  19. Well said.
  20. Yup. The Mad Hungarian is such a [expletive] - he's had about 50 Morgan-esque comments today.
  21. Was it that big of a deal? Pat made it seemed like he was tossed right away and that was it. There may have been a little bumping - from the camera angles I saw it was hard to tell...
  22. I agree - Pedro looked good on the mound.
  23. Steve Phillips is a moron. Lou was very patient with Kosuke last year.
  24. I'd agree that Gaudin is over the top. Z just had a mustache...
