  1. So, we gonna trade down again?
  2. How come the NFL network and ESPN never cover people in the second round? It's always the top 10, top 10, top 10. Why not try and find some hidden gems in round 2?
  3. My prediction: Williams, Forte, and some other O-Line guy, in that order.
  4. Unfortunately, it's gonna be pretty ugly out there. I mean, the guy's a terrible manager, but this is just going to make Chicago look bad.
  5. Our was better because it was really true. Although "Don't Walk" is pretty funny.
  6. Oh my god. What were you smoking paladin?
  7. Rotoworld, of course, has a great take.
  8. Me too, I'd go into "I'll consider voting Republican but grudgingly vote for Clinton"
  9. During the opening day rain delay, they played parts of a Cubs documentary. They interviewed some guy, about Sandberg. Some guy: He was one of those players who was good, but he couldn't tell you why he was good. You're Peoria Chiefs manager, everybody. Your. :ninja:
  10. ] "Cooking pizzas is gonna be a big part of us winning the world series this year". I do miss him, he seemed like a great guy, and he really was a fan of the Cubs I felt.
  11. Seriously, we must be aiming to build up Marmol's value to trade him, because I can't see how Lou is so blind to his overuse. It's not that I don't understand he's good. He is. But I almost wish they had "Joba Rules" for him.
  12. So I'm listening tonight to ESPN 1000 as I brush my teeth before bed. I don't know who it is, but it's some guy ranting and raving, one of those late-night, one-man shows. "So you know who I think is overrated, and frankly gets too much credit? Derek Jeter!" Promising. There's a lot that overvalued about Jeter. I should have been tipped off by the next sentence. "Before I start, I'd like to compliment his bat. I want to give him all the credit in the world for his clutch hitting. I've never seen a guy like him who can take an inside pitch to right field (etc, etc.)" Uh oh. Maybe he'll redeem himself with the negatives....surely if offense is his strength, he's heading towards the obvious negative of Jeter's defense, by which most account report is rapidly declining. "The reason Jeter is so overrated is because everyone says he's a 'winner'...well what has he won in the last few years? How can he be a leader and a winner when his team isn't winning any World Series? Shouldn't he take some blame for the way the club has turned out?" So, in conclusion, ESPN 1000 late night shows is WINNAR.
  13. Good lord, what a day to start Berkman.
  14. Yeah, Tulo is really killing me right now.
  15. You realize this game took place about 9 hours ago, right? Oh come on, you think the pithy constraints of time and space will stop him?
  16. Brian Roberts. He would force Lou to move him to the top of the lineup, eliminating either Theriot or Soriano from the front two spots, and allow for more OBP at the top of the lineup.
  17. That picture of him is also worrisome. Isn't that arm angle (the "W") really hard on the arm?
  18. Finally, we remembered who was catching.
  19. Good lord, who was this guy?
  20. Yikes that was awkward.
  21. I'm shocked we haven't stolen a base off of him yet. But kudos on the great thread title.
  22. Aye. Me too. It reminds too much of 2004.
