  1. and he'd probably refuse to hang out with elitists as well....I mean, mind saying why he's a 'meat head and idiot'? Because he is both a meat head, and an idiot. as are most former players. at least he didn't end up like daulton, thinking lizard men are coming to take him away. I wonder what Carl Everett is doing right now... :-k
  2. June 16th. They might not even play that day. That's how risky I am.
  3. I'm hoping the power that came on late last year will continue, but honestly I think that wrist injury sapped a lot of his power. I wouldn't expect more than 30-32 homers, but he'll have good OBP and good average.
  4. Yeah. I mean, think about it. Are "clutch" players inherently lazy then? Because they don't step up the rest of their game until it's "close and late"? Why only perform when the game is close? Why not be that good all the time?
  5. Rehab would be hilarious.
  6. He definitely seems to be looking for a fight. But yeah, I don't see how Baker can't win this contest. Bye Dusty
  7. To be fair, we don't them as young as Dice-K that often. As far as the Marquis signing, I've thought that myself. I mean, those contracts are mostly hideous, Marquis's is just not very good. I mean, I'm REALLY happy we avoided the train wrecks of Zito and Schmidt. Gotta give Hendry props for avoiding those pitfalls.
  8. "Excuses are like poems: They're for sissies, and no one wants to hear them"
  9. That was friggin' hilarious. Can someone .gif that bean and fistpump?
  10. SI has the reds finishing two games behind the Cubs....what are they smoking??? :pig:
  11. Pierre Thomas was a stud who was stuck behind a terrible OL at U of I. He may not be an everydown back, but I think he'll be a great Chester Taylor.
  12. And with the amount of work necessary on the OL, it would seem silly to trade up.... What team do you think he would trade with? I mean, McFadden is usually projected to go to the Jets at #6... I know the Dolphins are looking at trading down, but I doubt JA would trade up that high...
  13. According to Rotoworld.... Felix will probably go in the second round, but I don't know why they'd meet with McFadden. There's almost no way he'd fall to #14.....
  14. Hey it can't hurt right? :good:
  15. Are you kidding? I thought it was awesome.
  16. Oh, I'm gonna once the trade for Kinsler is done.
  17. They weren't too kind to the Blue Jays either, but that was exceptionally harsh. They didn't hold back on Michael Barrett either: "Note to all red asses: your job security is entirely tied to your performance, and your act gets old fast when you stop hitting. In the first half of last season, Barrett had significant problems making contact with anything other than Carlos Zambrano's face and was promptly shipped to San Diego, where the only thin he hit was the disabled list following an August concussion."
  18. No, he only watched the two months of the season that's all.
  19. Thanks for the input. That was a good point, and it does have a 1250 IP max. I'm currently trying to add Kerry Wood to my roster (we'll see how the waivers work) in place of Guthrie. I'm also trading Manny for Ian Kinsler (probably for a loss, but I suddenly have doubts that Kendrick will be that useful and I don't like Manny's age). And finally, I'm negotiating with someone for either Rafael Soriano or Manny Corpas for a starter. I'm not too worried about saves, as Sherril and CJ Wilson are on waivers. Plus, about 1/5 of closers change before the All-Star break anyway. As far as banking on young guys, that's certainly true, but I have a backup option if Butler fails (Helton), and my outfield is pretty deep. I'm actually having trouble getting rid of players so that I can add Milledge off of waivers! :-k
  20. Mein Gott im Himmel !! Jus' kidding Fred... ;)
  21. What's a VCR? I think it looks like an 8 Track. Kids. Stay off my lawn! Gee, Dad.... you mean Paul McCartney was in a band before Wings ????? Who's Paul McCartney?
  22. A little weak on SP, not so much in quality as in quantity. As far as hitters go, a good bunch, well rounded, maybe a bit weak on power (although your strong bench makes up for it. Could you help me in my thread please?
  23. What's a VCR? I think it looks like an 8 Track.
  24. Great deal. Detroit is gonna be really happy over the length of it I'd say.
