    in 30 games... great sample size Ok, he had a few more games than that last year and he was ok. I get that he is young, but he has really no power, can run but not steal bases, plus he is probably a center fielder. We need a right fielder who can mash.

    I think they are strongly leaning towards Vitters, but I just don't think its set in stone yet. Sadly, I see the Cubs brass split between Parker and Vitters. Rumor has it Porcello is asking for way more than the Royals are going to spend, and they're leaning towards taking Vitters now... which leaves us with a damn high school pitcher. So then we should end up with Weiters. I know we won't though. How very cub like that we were so bad in a very down year for the draft. I wish this was the 05 draft and we were picking third.

    Why do people want fernando martinez? He puts up a .700 ops in high A. I think we already have Ryan Harvey in the system and hehas more power. No thanks. If we do this trade we need to go through Atlanta. If it has to be the Mets we need a third party involved.

    You still like Reyes? I have heard some discouraging things about him. He's ok. He's throwing better this year. I don't think he's a can't miss, but if we're getting Salty, then Reyes makes a nice throw-in. Harrison and Smith are better prospects, but I don't think we're going to get either of those. That is true. I would really like Harrison too though. Maybe if we can get them bidding against the Mets.
