  1. Yeah, and I wouldn't think twice about it. A better question would be would you want to inherit Elijah Dukes baseball ability if it meant having to be insane. Would you have to pay all that child support? Nope, when your crazy you don't believe in that stuff. That's why God made guns.
  2. Jeff Francis or Matt Holliday please Troy Tulowitzki and Chris Iannetta.

  4. Which is why we should get rid of him now, Dusty didn't care about it last year and was allowed to abuse young arms along the way. Who has the motivation to get rid of Hendry now? Most of the front office needs to at least make the playoffs this year, from McDonough on down. And even if the team is sold early in the fall, they'll still be around for most of the off-season. Jim is far too obsessed about tinkering with the bullpen just for the sake of tinkering. Yeah, maybe Selig. You gotta think he wants a good cubs team. Playoff+Cubs=huge ratings.
  5. Man this kid at the 3 would be amazingly Cub like.
  6. Can't say so much about his lip, however. I'd like to see anyone go up against Z and come away that undamaged. He just took a 90mph foul tip square on his mask. That definitely rattles the brain. Well he doesn't have much of one.

  9. Have you seen his numbers this year? 21 for 21 with a .39 ERA? I'll go with the former. He was never anywhere near that in Texas either. I think he will cool-off at some point this year.

  11. Damn the Jeter didn't teach him everything he knows. Wish Murton would have done something there.
  12. he might have, but how many runners would his glove have left stranded?
  13. Whenever I want to pick up a hot chick I wear a the Jeter t-shirt jersey. They are helpless against it.
  14. The Indians don't do stupid things like call up their best pitching prospect before he's big league ready for stupid reasons like "need more control in middle relief", or "we can just extend him later". I agree, they didn't have Carmona up last year getting shelled in the pen... Carmona was pitching better than Gallagher is at a higher level when he was called up. It was also his second season at AAA after 2 seasons at AA. Not even remotely comparable. It was a highly thought of prospect pitcher wasting away in their bullpen, so it is comparable. I hope Sean also comes out of this unscathed.
  15. Soriano doesn't believe in fake rallies. He played with The Jeter you know.
  16. nice ab matt. hope you are enjoying your last few weeks here in chicago.
