I thought he looked like crap against Meyers Leonard last year as well. Until Leonard got in foul trouble and Zeller stuffed his stats at the end.

Yup - he could be The Mark Few of the East. I wouldn't want the Duke or UNC jobs as a young coach who wasn't an assistant on K or Williams' staffs (ask Matt Doherty about that). UCLA is also a potential career killer. IMO, there are "safer" but still lucrative/prestigious jobs that could be out there, such as Wisconsin (which someone already mentioned). There are also plenty of cash-rich ACC and SEC schools that have decent hoops traditions and are in need of a facelift. You mean something like the Illinois job? I'm glad we ended up with Groce. Smart's loss, IMO.

Very cool win and I love the Heat being pissed, but man, I wish LeBron had cold-cocked that idiot. Yeah ask Ron artest how that works out. I kind of like watching LeBron play, don't really want to see him suspended for a year. Regardless, screw that fan. Makes bulls fans look bad. Oh agreed, just saying I'm glad LeBron is level headed enough to take the high road.

Really good recruiting class and plenty of playing time available to give them. Couple of transfers to ease the process somewhat, and Abrams/Egwu/Bertrand/Henry return from the rotation. Biggest challenge will be to see where the scoring comes from early on. I'm most concerned about outside shooting. Henry can shoot, Abrams is okay, but unless somebody shows up able to knock down threes, it could be a long season on the offensive end. Egwu developing a bit more should help, but there's a lot of holes to fill. Malcolm hill can shoot. Well be worse at the start of the year, but better than this year by the end, IMO.

He's pretty athletic and runs the floor well. I could see it. I was high on McLemore, but lately he's looked like crap. Not sure what's going on with him. He's morphing into Brandon Rush.

I remember either reading or watching something that said on average, NBA players have much larger wingspan-to-height ratios than the average human. So if Withey's wingspan is only 3" larger than his height, he might be below average. Just checking a couple to compare, Anthony Davis is 6'10 and has a 7'4 wingspan, Durant is 6'9/7'5, Dwight Howard is 6'9/7'4 and LeBron 6'8/7'0. Lol, that's the only time ever Jeff withey's name will ever be mentioned with any of those guys.

For the life of me I couldn't figure out why everyone was so high on VCU beating Michigan. Michigan struggles against half court slow down teams and teams that are in the Top 5, VCU is neither. Trapping Michigan seemed like a bad idea to me. MSU has played some serious MSU ball for 2 games so far. I do not think they will beat Duke. Hope I am wrong. I agree on the MU-VCU stuff, I think VCU could have given Kansas fits though had they gotten by MU. Michigan is going to beat them anyways.

That's cool. I want Stevens or Smart coaching UCLA next year too. I don't see why Stevens would leave Butler at this point. It's UCLA. I think you have to leave for a blueblood.
