  1. No we aren’t watching the TAMU commercial.
  2. She scooped into a lot of notes and went off the melody. BOOOO I’m cool with it during title games. There’s a time and place for it. A baseball game in mid-May, not so much.
  3. That was the first time I’ve seen Starfleet be a part of a color guard. Good job by whomever that lady was that sang the anthem.
  4. If you're solely talking about this year, then yeah, but for this team to overcome everything they have this season and still finish with a winning record is pretty remarkable. They are a top 3 seed next season if they are healthy and run the same roster out there, Michael Thomas included. Yeah, maybe so. With healthy Winston they are probably a 12 win team this past year.
  5. The tweet isn’t loading for me. What did it say Just showed the teams lined up before the TO and it looked like the Raiders had a WR who wasn’t covered by anyone.
  6. Photo is misleading, there is a DB just off frame. Ah, good
  7. Well there it is https://twitter.com/jadubin5/status/1480412159234478087?s=21
  8. Poor bastard
  9. Hahahaha dumbest timeout since Chris Weber
  10. Saints in Mediocrity hell. Not good enough to make playoffs but not bad enough to get a great draft pick
  11. Deion did it again…
  12. A squadron of these things doing a flyover before every game would be epic. Mustangs have a real distinct sound too.
  13. Honestly, I can’t figure out how The Powers That Be for that franchise didn’t just go “Ok, that’s it, shut it down, Redtails it is”. That accomplishes so many goals. It’s a complete reversal of the racism of the past mascot and is badass to boot. Nazi killing black pilots??? That’s sick. Would have also been a great opportunity to highlight a cool part of AA history. They could have had a museum there at the stadium and had flyovers before every game of a squadron of P-51’s. Seriously, what a missed opportunity.
  14. https://twitter.com/SportsLawLust/status/1478384911979581445?s=20 Washington Red Tails would have been the best IMO.
  15. Epic
  16. I’m at the game so no. I mean, he’s not wrong.
  17. Not likely. He’s a savage. I’ve not seen many players that are more competitive than him. He played most of this entire year limping around on one leg. I feel you haven’t heard a thing Tessitore has said all night. I’m at the game so no.

  19. Just great
  20. But we're talking about what gets them there in the first place i.e. why are the players so much better at Bama and Georgia as opposed to Michigan or wherever. I suppose with all money considerations being equal, a player might be inclined to choose Bama over another school because of other factors such as exposure and Saban, etc. However, money considerations are rarely equal. There is usually a highest bidder and they are the ones who get the kid. If Bama offers Joe Blow a 150k NIL package and and LSU offers him a 450k package, he's going to LSU.
  21. I’m still for expanding the playoffs. The competitive balance isn’t that relevant to the matchups themselves because people will still watch. People love brackets and there will be occasional upsets and the beat downs will still get massive ratings. Also, I wouldn’t necessarily take these semi’s being bad as an indication that future playoff games will be just as one sided. The top 4 teams aren’t always the actual Top 4 best teams. For example I think many teams in the top 10 would have beaten Cincinnati like Okie State or Ole Miss or Baylor. There are plenty of 2 loss teams that are better than teams with 1 loss or even teams with no losses. Those teams might have fared better against a Bama or Georgia, but because they were left out we’ll never know. The expanded playoff allows for those type teams to have a shot.
  22. Speaking of Nakobe Dean
  23. Well, ok, yes, other stuff too but if you believe the bagmen stories that stuff happens everywhere down there and yet they do it way better than the others (except Texas A&M this year apparently) At Alabama they attract talent because they produce NFL players. It’s like a kind of momentum. Saban knows how to prepare these kids to be ready. He’s created a culture. It helps that he also has the highest paid assistants and great college town, but it’s about his process and what he does that sets him apart. I think it’s him, then every other program bunched together, more or less. Not sure I’d call Tuscaloosa a great college town and I’m positive no blue chip has ever gone to Alabama because of the town. Bama is buying players better than most everyone else. However, being able to buy the best players doesn’t equal success, which is where Saban comes in. They WIN because of Saban. Bama is putting more NFL players into the league than any other college not because Saban is “coaching them up” but because Bama has traditionally had the most blue chip players (read: NFL prospects) while he has been there.
  24. You’re not honestly this naive are you? None of those things are why 5 stars go to Bama and Georgia. Well, ok, yes, other stuff too but if you believe the bagmen stories that stuff happens everywhere down there and yet they do it way better than the others (except Texas A&M this year apparently) It does happen everywhere down here and up north too (5 stars don’t choose UM or OSU for free) but Bama and Georgia have better “networks” than most. Kirby Smart implemented the Saban model at Georgia. Take Nakobe Dean, the LB for Georgia. He’s from just 45 minutes away from Ole Miss. He was an Ole Miss commit since 9th grade. Two of his brothers played at Ole Miss. He was as solid as a commit as we had. Then the week of signing day Georgia offers him 425k and offers to relocate his mother to Athens. No shock where he ended up signing. With NIL deals, this sorta thing is just going to get worse now that it can be done “above board.”
