  1. https://www.facebook.com/tommy.jones.16100/posts/2255879247764420 Whole crew were gutless. There’s a photo out there showing 3 refs staring at the play.
  2. Do not self-report. Do not cooperate. It's that simple. If any AD self-reports or cooperates with the NCAA they should be fired. The only schools that get in trouble are those they try to do the right thing after a mistake was made.
  3. Ouch! https://twitter.com/GabeDeArmond/status/1091020239062614017
  4. Is Edgar the first player to be elected to the HOF based largely on his rate stats? He's nowhere near any of the counting stat milestones (although him not playing his first full season until age 27 is why he doesn't have 3000)
  5. Maybe another Brave, Dale Murphy? https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/m/murphda05.shtml Duke Snider fell off a cliff too https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/s/snidedu01.shtml
  6. Harold Baines is in the HOF now. It’s pretty much a meaningless feat at this point.
  7. You’re comparing a missed strike two in an AB where a dude grounded out and a missed play at the plate in the bottom of the 9th. was the Saints WR in the endzone? how can you say it absolutely would have altered the game? Because a flag being thrown would have allowed the Saints to run the clock down and kick a chip shot to end the game.
  8. You can't compare a missed facemask call or hold, etc, with a blatant blown call at the point of attack in that game situation. You guys would be blowing a gasket if that were against the Bears. It was a blatant a miss as I've ever seen, especially given the circumstances. I absolutely can compare those calls. You’re comparing a missed strike two in an AB where a dude grounded out and a missed play at the plate in the bottom of the 9th.
  9. League office has stated that they missed the PI call AND they missed the targeting call on the same play.
  10. *but yes, that Brady call was horrifying bad as well.
  11. How about these stills?
  12. So that ref, Phil McKinnley played for the Rams...he also played for the Falcons and missed that really obvious targeting call last year that gave Kamara a concussion when the Saints played the Falcons. Sour grapes I know, but c'mon. NFL refs need to be beyond reproach. You shouldn't get to call a game with teams that you have affiliations with.
  13. NFL fired a ref earlier in the year for blowing a call that effected a game. This mugwump needs to go too. Good grief
  14. There was nothing tough to tell about that. That’s maybe the worst no-call I’ve ever seen. That was a cowardly ref not wanting to end the game on a flag. Sorry, dude. there were two calls there that are going to haunt you all offseason. Feel bad for Brees to have two of his final postseasons ended due to some bad mojo.
  15. tough to tell from the replay angles if the ball was already past the receiver. That's the only thing I can think of. There was nothing tough to tell about that. That’s maybe the worst no-call I’ve ever seen. That was a cowardly ref not wanting to end the game on a flag.
  16. That's amazing quality. Interesting that Ruth and Gehrig shared a bat.
  17. If you're a smart school, you'll hire a Saban understudy. They learn how to cheat very, very well under Saban and then implement that in other places. In the past 8 years since Dabo became head coach, Clemson has landed 22 five-star players. In the previous 8 years they landed 2. Rivals 2019 recruiting rankings from former Saban coaches: 1 - Bama 2 - Georgia - Kirby Smart 4 - Texas A&M - Jimbo 6 - Clemson - Dabo 7 - Oregon - Cristobal 14 - Tennessee - Pruitt
  18. I'm gonna predict Lane Kiffin to Miami
  19. Is his name Biff Tannen?
  20. If the difference between the second best closer ever (Hoffman) and Billy Wagner is only 4 WAR, then maybe Rivera is the only one who belongs.
  21. I posted this on another board when someone claimed that the HOF had already jumped the shark with Tim Raines and that Baines' induction really wasn't all that different... Categories where they ranked in the Top 10 in a season and where they ranked within the Top 10 that season: Raines BA: (4 times) 1st, 3rd, 3rd, 8th OBP: (7) 1st, 3rd, 3rd, 4th, 4th, 5th, 6th SLG: (1) 9th WAR: (5) 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 9th Runs (8) 1st, 1st, 2nd, 2nd, 6th, 8th, 9th, 10th RBI (0) Hits (6) 3rd, 3rd, 5th, 6th, 8th, 10th Doubles (3) 1st, 6th, 10th Triples (9) too many to list HR (0) Steals (11) 1st four times Baines BA: (3) 6th, 8th, 10th OBP (1) 7th SLG (1) 1st WAR: (0) Runs (0) RBI (2) 4th, 8th Hits (1) 5th Doubles (1) 6th Triples (3) 2nd, 3rd, 8th HR (1) 9th Steals (0) Led the league in a stat: Raines - 9 times Baines - 1 time Was Top 10 in league in a stat: Raines - 54 times Baines - 13 times
