  1. Random as hell, but I enjoy messing around on baseballcube and I was looking at Jeff Kent’s college stats. His final year at Cal he played in 52 games and batted just .193/.320/.325 with just 4 HR. Bonds’ final year at AZ State he hit .368/.447/.713 with 23 HR in 62 games.
  2. A view it as more of a "don't talk to the pitcher during a no-hitter" situation.
  3. Was really surprised when they showed Encarnacion’s stats last night. That dude almost has 400 HR and seems to have a good shot at 500.
  4. Not sure I've ever seen Javy throw harder than that. WOW
  5. His K and BB rate seem to be the kicker in all this. Park factors are unlikely to make that huge of a difference on those stats. It's like 60 PA on either side of a split where you expect there to be deviation, even with BB/K. Maybe he really loves the batters eye, or he faced a handful of pitchers at home who had no idea what they were doing early in the season. It'd be more meaningful if that were the case in August, but until then it's trivia. Nah, he's a Brewer. Bastard is cheating. 8-)
  6. Yeah, it's been like 10 games each home and away, plus Miller has been hitter friendly to all teams so far and there's no team-wide benefit the home offense seems to be getting. It's weird and noteworthy but not at all scandalous at this stage. His K and BB rate seem to be the kicker in all this. Park factors are unlikely to make that huge of a difference on those stats.
  7. He's not the only one on that team with suspicious splits. Lorenzo Cain H/R H - 14 games: .345/.400/.586 R - 15 games: .203/.266/.254
  8. Indeed, that's such a chasm that it should certainly raise suspicions. That K% is certainly intriguing.
  9. Is Yelich being fed signs at Miller or something? His H/R splits are astonishing. 13 HR, 1.811 OPS at home 1 HR, .766 on road
  10. Best part was Javy walking up to the huddle with his arm over the Dbacks SS.
  11. Davis looks like he won a contest in a softball league to get to play on the Cubs for a day.
  12. That’ll hit you right in the feels
  13. He looked like Sid Bream chugging around third in '93
  14. So we’re 11-10 now and Dodgers are 15-10. How have they played 4 more games than the Cubs at this point? We’ve only had 1 postponement. Just a quirk in scheduling?
  15. Wyatt Short has an odd looking stat line so far: 2-0, 9.00 ERA, 2 IP, 2 K, 2 ER
  16. Was referring to the Cubs being 1-6, not your post
