  1. They just said on the radio that the Cardinals and Cubs are playing a series in London next June. Wasn’t aware of that.
  2. Along with Bobby Hill, Hee Seop Choi, Augie Ojeda, etc., etc. Okay, maybe not Augie Ojeda. I learned recently that he just retired a couple of years ago. Roosevelt Brown was also a minor league stud who I had high hopes for
  3. David Kelton. I remember him being a candidate for our “third baseman of the future”. By the time he had his cup of coffee he was an outfielder IIRC.
  4. Ron Coomer, Tyler Houston, Bill Mueller. It all changed with that wonderful man named Aramis
  5. an old white dude who landed in Normandy, went through France, fought in Belgium at Hurtgen Forest, and then in the Ardennes at the Battle of the Bulge.
  6. Wow. They must have one hell of a powerful Union for dopes like CB and Angel to still have jobs. Sanchez’ reaction is great. “Wait...what?” https://twitter.com/maxwildstein/status/1136066037059919874?s=21
  7. Jensen was 11-1, 2.92 ERA, 1.13 WHIP, 92 IP, 99k, 26 walks
  8. No idea. Maybe? It’s strange, regardless. I mean, no. That is 100%, most definitely not the case. Ok, so he’s not being fed signs. What gives? Sure, Miller is a hitters park, but go look at the splits on the Blake Street Bombers during the Coors Field heyday. Their slugging % was at most like 250 points higher at Coors, not freaking double.
  9. His main problem has been that he’s made of glass. He’s only played over 140 games three times in 12 seasons.
  10. What's the theory? He alone is getting stolen signs? No idea. Maybe? It’s strange, regardless.
  11. So is there a large enough sample size in the season to call these numbers suspicious? Yelich’s splits: Home: 17HR, .395 AVG, 1.092 SLG Away: 5 HR, .250 AVG, .464 SLG I looked into the splits for most of their starters and almost all actually have more homers and higher slugging on the road this season.
  12. horsefeathers the cardinals and horsefeathers St. Louis
  13. Hell of a stat they just showed. Last time 4 teammates had over .550 slugging by June 1st was 1995 and the Blake Street Bombers.
