    Watching the Jackie Robinson story right now on MLBN right now. Interesting that he is playing himself.

    Because I don't like the leagues that have the long playoffs. I guess that is the bottom line for me. Although I don't know how I'd feel if MLB lasted two months. I suppose I'd get pretty tired of watching the Yankees and Phillies beat up on people for two months.

    I can only assume you're also not a fan of college basketball. Umm March Madness lasts 1 month and no where near half the teams make the tournament. Playoff dates for last year: March Madness - 21 days MLB - 28 days NFL - 29 days NHL - 55 days (yuck) NBA - 57 days

    I can only assume you're also not a fan of college basketball. A) March Madness doesn't last two whole months, it lasts just over two weeks. B) I should have also added that the way the NBA plays basketball isn't all that appealing to me. Maybe I just don't watch enough of it (I do watch a good amount of NCAAB), but everytime I see an NBA game on TV and watch a few minutes it's just not very exciting. Seems like 90% of the shots aren't even contested, whereas in the college game there appears to be much more emphasis on defense. It just looks like two different games to me.

    Me and Fred watched that together today. It was ugly. He also made a really bad play on a pop-up and got ragged pretty bad by the hometown crowd about it. Hung-Wen Chen pitched a heck of a game though and Alex Maestri looked really good in relief. He has a pretty cool delivery.

    I may be giving Theriot too much benefit of the doubt (actually, I definitely am), but it seemed like he might've known Cabrera was there and decided to try to get a free base. I agree with this. I doubt it. That would be super duper quick thinking to make that attempt spur of the moment like that.
