I'll just say this as a Saints fan: having Drew Brees fall into our laps is one of the biggest blessings any franchise has ever received.

I was just as tired of hearing about the Katrina thing back during the 2006 playoffs (when it actually mattered a bit). As someone said earlier, it's just lazy writing.

gotta have peak AND career length (in order to get close to the milestone stats that make us feel warm and fuzzy) for the most part to get into HOF, unless you are playing in God Mode during your peak like Koufax. -
I think he exaggerated a bit with the comments, but I do think the Saints will blitz some because that's what Gregg Williams does. He'll just have to be creative with timing, where the guys come from, etc. The Saints have to at least try to blitz. If it doesn't work and you can't get to Manning, then switch things up. But they can't just sit back from the start. They didn't blitz Brady all that much during the Patriots game and it worked quite well.

most of those are kinda dumb. Again, I don't see why the Saints are such underdogs here. The stat sheet doesn't really back that up. As I've said before, I think alot of it has to do with the fact that they are the Saints. Subconsciously the Saints = suck football to most people who have followed the NFL most of their lives. Hell, in my heart, even I don't think they'll win because they are the Saints. 2 or 3 years of watching terrific Saints football can't wipe away the fact that I spent the first 23 or so years of my life with a freaking bag over my head watching those guys. It's similar to all of us watching the Cubs in recent years. Also, I think alot of the stuff Gregg Williams is saying about roughing up Manning and all that stuff is just a smokescreen. I don't think the Saints are going to blitz that much.

I just heard Chris Collinsworth talking about the "humidity factor" and said it would help....the Colts. Not that the Saints practice most all of the season outdoors....in a freaking swamp city.

Arkansas was able to pull Byran Jones, a highly touted DT that Auburn was hoping to sign. Losing Jones doesn't hurt as badly after Jeffrey Whitaker signed with Auburn though. Jones is one of Arkansas' only 2 four star recruits, lol. So if Auburn had been able to get Jones, where would Arkansas be?? They'd probably like 60th or something.

LOL, Arkansas is ranked 53rd now, directly behind the powerhouse known as Southern Miss. 8 SEC schools in the top 20 and Arkansas is that far back. Ouch. And they have THE ENTIRE STATE to recruit from.
