Ole Miss ranked 17th now. That's quite the achievement for a school in a state with a tiny population and three other instate D-1 schools to compete against (as well as monsters like LSU and BAMA lurking nextdoor).

and they're doing a medley, some of which will be mimed to over a track. it's really embarrassing. they're not the same band without Keith Moon anyways. It's like when Zep plays without Bonham (granted his son is pretty damn good though). how does it really matter? bonham is a drummer and his son is talented; i doubt the difference is that great. plus why should they not be able to perform their music any more because their alcoholic drummer drank himself to death? fair point. But how about this: it's embarrassing because they are 65 years old.

What the HELL happened to Ohio State?? They are only ranked 26th this year. Last year they were 3rd and in 2008 they were 4th.

Well, 24 commits to 20. To me, team rankings are incredibly useless. When you're trying to combine a bunch of kids who are ranked based on a faulty star system using an even worse team scoring system, you get a bunch of crappy numbers that don't mean anything. There's no decent way to compare recruiting classes so I don't even bother trying. I agree with you there. The star system is definitely faulty because it really all depends upon who attends what camps and has such and such amount of exposure, etc. I think the differences in a 3 and 4 star are minimal. However, when you start getting to 5 stars, then those guys are mostly for real. If you look at all the 5 stars over the past 10 years, a great many are names that you know or were guys drafted in the 1st round. Baseball has the best All-Star game because baseball is a game that is difficult to play at half speed or half strength. The physics of the game really don't work if you are half-assing it. You kinda have to play at game speed to even play the game properly.

OMG, LSU is playing Miss St right now and at the half they have 15 points. The announcers just said that in their last 40 minutes of play LSU has 27 points. :shock: that is epic suck.
