  4. It's always been a joke. The chances of me actually watching it during the off week as opposed to the week after the superbowl are much much higher. In other words, if I flip past it I may watch for a few minutes. Correct. In theory it's an ideal place to put the pro-bowl.
  5. We're talking about high and tight here. NO ONE is going to purposely take one in the dome.
  6. He's probably right about it being harder to hit HR back then as opposed to today, but I don't know if his reason (we put them on their back!! yeaaahh!!) is the reason why. They called a much wider strike zone back then and that would likely have an effect on HR's. Although I suppose there could be something to what he says. You watch some of the MLB Network games from the 60's or 70's and the pitchers are definitely throwing inside a hell of a lot more. If you watch Gibson's 17K game in the 68 World Series that guy is straight up scary. He puts several guys on their backs in that game.
  7. http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh153/OleMissCub17/fergieyell.jpg Ferguson Jenkins wrote an open letter to the AP about McGwire. Some of the highlights are in this article. I'd like to see the whole letter though. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=4846734
  8. Best Saints Fan evah... Vance is gonna love this.
  9. high quality vid of Peyton yelling "g-- damnit Donald!!" during a play http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VS-90x1op4s
  10. I don't know what the hell is going on at Auburn. Y'alls recruiting is insane. You've got our top player BTW from Mississippi, Shon Coleman, an OL.
  11. Ingram's next season won't be played in the aughts. So there ya go.
  12. http://espn.go.com/blog/sec/post/_/id/8297/sec-players-of-the-decade Chris Low's SEC players of the decade Pretty good list I think. Premature on Ingram I think. I'd have probably gone with Knowshon Moreno over Ingram.
  13. Correct. If the Colts win, then regardless of the winner in the NFC, you'll have one of the best QB matchups ever in the Super Bowl. Some of the others: Elway vs. Favre, Elway vs. Montana, Tarkenton vs. Bradshaw
  14. I don't know if Chizik is threatening their momma's or something, but Auburn's recruiting class this year is reallllly good. He'd be dumb to pick to Auburn though, they already have Michael Dyer committed, the no.3 ranked RB in the country. Although I guess the two stud system as worked in the past at Auburn with Ronnie Brown and Cadillac.
  15. EWWWWWWWWWWW
  16. Well, since this is (because it is the Saints) a once in a lifetime thing, I decided to bite the bullet and get tix for me and the girl. They were stupid expensive though :-( But I'm super excited about getting to see it. Be fun to see Brett Favre and AP down there.
  17. So you are saying he is due to choke...I like it. Well Favre has been really good so I guess it's possible that he's due to choke. Kind of like how Reggie Bush has been a non-factor so he was due to finally have a decent all-around game once in his career. He's had good games before. He had a 4 TD game a while back against the Niners and returned 2 punts for TD's in a game against the Vikings last year. But this was definitely unexpected.
  18. Their run defense is definitely the weakest part of the their defense, but that 29th in the league stat is probably a bit misleading if you are looking at how they are right now. Health was a major concern with their run D this year. Sedrick Ellis and Fujita are both massively important at stopping the run for the Saints and they both missed about six games each in the middle of the season (which was when the Saints D started to go down). Another part of some of their defensive woes throughout the Season were because of the injuries to both Tracy Porter and Jabari Greer, our starting corners. Both of those guys were out for about a five game stretch together and Porter missed a few more games after that. When they were on the field together, offenses averaged 219 passing yards, and when they weren't healthy they averaged 303 yards against the Saints. Also, in the 9 games that they played together the Saints D only gave up 7 passing TD's and had 16 INT's. They are a force when they are both healthy. So you are saying he is due to choke...I like it.
  19. I don't understand how twitter works. Do you get a text message when someone you follow posts a tweet?
  20. BRING ON THE VIQUEENS!!! http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh153/OleMissCub17/-7e485f39035302d2_custom_665xauto.jpg
  21. Kaeding would be executed if he played like that in half the countries in the world.
  22. they gotta go for it
  23. because unsportsmanlike conduct is subjective
  24. not quite as good when the Ravens player grabbed the penalty flag and threw it into the stands a few years ago
