  1. Reds players acting like they won the world series
  2. O_O should have his mod privileges revoked and then be executed for ever having had that stupid chicken in his avatar.
  3. Tulowitzki was 3rd in the NL in UZR that year. I mean, Rollins was in a distant 5th, but it's Vizquel who had a right to pissed. I don't recall the UZR, but I just remember that his FRAR that year was higher than any of Ozzie Smith's seasons except for one or something like that.
  4. The thing about Rollins' selection was that it seemed to come out of nowhere as I recall. It seemed like a month before the season was over, ESPN really started homering for him big time. Maybe I made this up in my head, but I swear I can remember that.
  5. that was the same season that Rollins and his wimpy 119 OPS+ won a questionable (at least imo) MVP over Holliday. Folks hated on the Rox that season I guess. btw, Rollins' 119 was the worst OPS+ for an MVP winner since Zoilo Versalles won it in 1965. and while we are on the topic of Rollins that season, him winning the gold glove over Tulo was a joke too. Tulo had one of the highest rated defensive years ever that season according to the metrics.
  6. considering that Castro has only had one game and Heyward is hitting .294/.413/.624/1.037, 173 OPS+ with 8 HR and 26 RBI after 27 games.... Even in our wildest dreams Castro just isn't going to put up numbers similar to that.
  7. So he is the first player born in the 90's to play in the MLB? did we ever figure this out
  8. http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh153/OleMissCub17/ztcat.gif
  9. excluding Mr. Colvin, our bench is hitting .225/.298/.329/.627, 61 OPS+
  10. and then see the linebacker arrested for assault?
  11. yes, but that means it happens once ever 14,500 innings!! It's a damn epidemic
  12. it's not about feeling sorry for the guy. Dude is clearly a toolbag, but that's not the point.
  13. My girl just asked an obvious question: "Why are you still watching this, they are losing eight to nothing." so very true...
  14. Probably too detailed to ever find out, but I'd be interested to see how many runs/home runs these all time great pitchers from yesteryear gave up in the 7th inning or later. Heck, even up until the 70's a pitcher would stay in a game till the end unless he was completely terrible. They obviously had the durability to pitch that many innings, but surely they were fatigued by the 7th inning and I'd be interested to see if they gave up a disproportionate amount of runs in those later innings.
  15. I would like snipers positioned toward home plate to take out those idiots that wave at the camera.
  16. Robin Roberts died today at age 83. One of the most underrated pitchers of all time. If the Cy Young had been given back then, he likely would have won 5. Between 1950-1955, he won 138 games with a 2.93 ERA, 161 CG's and 24 shutouts, along with 14 saves. http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh153/OleMissCub17/roberts-1.gif http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh153/OleMissCub17/robin5.jpg http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh153/OleMissCub17/pitchrobin.jpg http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh153/OleMissCub17/robin2.jpg
  17. Gotta love cops playing with their toys when they don't have to
  18. Interesting. Never knew about the particulars of the financial stuff.
  19. I don't really see Texas's incentive to stay. because they can beat just about everyone in the conference with comparative ease. I don't know how often they'd be a BCS team if they played in a tougher conference top to bottom.
  20. Seems to me like Texas has no incentive to leave the Big 12. I imagine the Big 12 will just add TCU, Utah, or maybe even Boise St.
  21. because they might lose more often 8-) honestly though, I don't really see the incentive for Texas to leave a conference that pretty much already revolves around them (and Okie to an extent).
