  1. I have serious issues with how Hancock(and others) draw fouls on those fake shot, then jump into the opponent while chucking the ball up. I think it is just one of many things the NCAA needs to take a serious look at
  2. 2 observations. 1. NCAA should be embarrassed that those are the 3 best refs they have. I am not saying that officiating cost Michigan the game or made it closer. But it was just awful. 2. I love the intensity that Louisville brings all the time. I don't think that is as easy as it sounds, but it seems like they play their butts off for 40 mins.
  3. I am with you...but that is not how the tourney overall has been officiated. Not to defend Indiana, but if that was a foul on McGary than just about every block Syracuse had against Indiana was a foul. And also several blocks that Kansas had in that game against Michigan. The officiating overall has not been good. I think it is a large part of why these games are so hideous to watch. Hacking, grabbing, body checks have become the norm. The lane has become almost a free for all. Then CBS/ESPN want to make a big deal about charge calls. Watching most of these tourney games is like watching a Nashville Predators game.
  4. Yeah sneakypower doesn't like me very much. What can ya do? At least I've got EJ. I do not want to take sides, but if I have to, sneaky is a Wings fan:)
  5. There are two boys in my sons Jr Hi class who were both born in February and were not started in school until they were 6. They are good athletes to begin with, so they really dominate the Jr Hi competition in baseball and basketball. Both of their parents are school officials with strong athletic backgrounds. One of them has a younger brother who was born in March who is basically doing the same thing.
  6. Sure looks like these Refs are using the NBA traveling standard
  7. Michigan fan fight!!!
  8. has anyone thought that he is getting squeezed. I understand that he is probably not going to ever get the benefit of the doubt from umps because of his past wildness, but it seems like almost every ab he hits a corner and it is called a ball by the ump.
  9. I think both Syracuse and Michigan may have their hands up I think he means "best team in the country" and not necessarily "team playing the best in the tournament", though I think Louisville is both. I am not saying that they will lose or are not the best team either in this tourney or overall...but I do not think it is hands down obvious. That is all I am saying.
  10. I think both Syracuse and Michigan may have their hands up
  11. So I am going to first say that I think the coach should have been fired immediately. However, I understand Pernetti's actions. I think the worst thing they/he did was once ESPN went in cable news network attack mode, Rutgers blinked. Just stand by your original bad decision. It was not like they/he did nothing or condoned the actions. He just probably did not go far enough and disciplining Rice. Of course I am not all that privy on all the details, so I may be wrong.
  12. I wouldnt have minded if the Wings made a move to add a top 6 forward. I also wouldnt have minded if they were sellers. It just makes no fricking sense to stand pat
  13. Acquire Handzus. Tell fan base that the best deadline acquisition is getting Sharpe and Hossa healthy. So I hate to tell you guys but this sounds exactly like the Wings. Robert Lang is the only Top 6 forward I ever remember the Wings getting at the deadline. I wish I could forget that they acquired him
  14. I know the only way for a lot of these lower seeds to have a chance is to allow grabbing and hacking and such. But unless it is MSU doing it, these games are kind of awful to watch:)
  15. Castillo finishes 4th in ROY...if he is still eligible
  16. NL Braves, Reds, Giants. Cards, Nats AL Rays, Tigers, Rangers. Angels, Blue Jays
  17. I was hoping Minnesota would get Alford...just for the excitement that would bring the B1G
  18. So why do College BB players not realize that it is best to get in close to shot blockers and go straight at them. Well unless you are Cody Zeller last night
  19. if GR3 returns, we won't be worse next year You're losing Trey Burke. You'll be worse. I think they could be better.
  20. Hideous in real life while watching the MSU game the other day we were talking about how unattractive she is....yet somehow kind of appealing. I think it has something to do with the air of willingness she kind of gives off.
  21. I thought I heard the other day that Arizona set a record for the most free throw attempts in a NCAA tourney game that day.
  22. This. Also, I guess I really do not understand why someone is looking for every reason they can to be critical of Cubs ownership/management. Is it like if he can somehow convince NSBB posters that the new regime is bad, then NSBB posters could be some sort of agent of change that would lead to the Cubs being the greatest organization in sports for the next 50 yrs. Anyway...The Ricketts family obviously made a good investment. Hoping a smart group of guys like that can lead the Cubs to the promiseland:) It took quite a while to convince a lot of people that Hendry was awful. And it came down to the point that they didn't come close to winning as many games as they should have given their resource advantage. Ownership gave him money to spend and they spent it and lost. This group still has the same resources, but is spending a lot less and actually managing to lose quite a bit more often. They are seemingly capable of doing much better but apparently more than willing to take a dive and stay on the canvas for far too long. I don't understand the point of asking about a person's motives for posting about the team they follow on a website devoted to the team they follow. What's the point of any of us saying anything on here? Fandom isn't a particularly rational trait, although the only rational way to go about being a fan is wanting to see the team you are a fan of win more games than the competition. I am not saying that anyone should be above criticism. But there are certain posters here who treat the new regime like conservative pundits treat Obama. Every thread becomes reason for them to try to find ways to criticize, even when there really is nothing to be critical of. I also recognize that Ricketts gets some what of a pass because of their hiring of Epstein and Co. If he would have hired almost any other GM in baseball and we were on the current path, the criticism would be much louder here and everywhere else. But, they are still in the window of giving them a chance. I am all for questioning moves on individual bases, but to complain about everything gets somewhat tiring at this point. BTW..take this as a person who was probably anti-Hendry loooong before most:)

  24. They shouldn't be in cap hell as much as they will just be looking for a new wave of players. They aren't signing Iginla, are they? They project to have 10.6m in space for next year and 39.7m the following. Compared to the Blackhawks having 5.2m and 23.0m, or Boston with 6 and 17. Morrow, Iginla, Dupuis, Cooke and Murray UFA this season.... Malkin, Kunitz, Orpick and LeTang next. Plus Kennedy is a RFA is offseason(tough year to have a bad year, but will still have some suitors.) They will lose several other players besides Iginla
  25. I think NSBB may want to consider having a thread titled Business Law Advice From crazycooter I think that would really set them apart from the standard Cardinal site
