If not knowing the lyrics to a Birdman song makes me old, I'll take it The fact that you think you have to even know of that songs existence to have heard that phrase (I didn't - I was just making a joke because it was a Birdman song and the guy's name is NOLA ffs) only made this whole thing worse. I listen to a ton of current bands and a good bit of hip hop, but I feel fine never having heard of that guy.

I googled birdman, and for a minute I thought a musical number in the movie Birdman that I'd forgotten. But there's a rapper named Birdman? yes and he is from new orleans, louisiana I have time for work, drinking and/or watching baseball. Besides, most hip hop from here blows outside of bounce.

i thought maybe it was a joke about zobrist being christian and not drinking or something, but i am also confused You guys have seriously never heard the phrase about popping a bottle of champagne? When you add champagne it makes sense. I just though it was some corny Midwest thing.

I just caught up with highlights on Quick Pitch (which is awesome). It looks like Willson got ejected 100% to stick up for Lackey. -
And I thought Ole Miss was a dumpster fire. Both things can be true. Both remind me of the John L Smith season at Arkansas after Petrino's motorcycle wreck.

It's not just that. Whenever he collides with an opposing player or he's at bat and the catcher gets dinged by a foul tip, he immediately checks with the guy to make sure they're ok. Besides being "showy" I guess, there is nothing unsportsmanlike about him.

I wish the Cubs had a gun out in the outfield like that, but Willson can probably be that guy if Avila is catching. Heyward has got a pretty strong arm. Meh, a good arm.
