  1. You could throw any of Red Sox, Indians, Dodgers or Cubs up there and it is as good as any other guess in March.
  2. Exactly. Seeing him sign with another team and play at an All Star level would be glorious. BFIB would unleash the full Royce Clayton treatment on the new catcher.
  3. 31 was mugging him already. I agree he was mugging him, but that should've been either charge/block or a travel. I'm not sure how all 3 refs decided not to call something there. The next play, I thought the video review showed the fingers move when he deflect the ball so it should've been Arkansas ball, but I don't think it would've mattered much considering there was 1 or 2 sec left on the play clock. Or the fact that the ball was rotating out of the shooter's hand then became a knuckle ball.
  4. This was a no call, which paired with the proceeding horrendous no call deflection the prior play sealed the deal for UNC.
  5. Tony Campana brought Erick Leal+. Just sayin'.
  6. I must have seen a dozen similar comments from Cards fans today.
  7. SEC refs love Kentucky in basketball the way they love Bama in football. And their fans are equally obnoxious.
  8. Nothing too exciting for me, but then I haven't been to that many games. May 25-26, 2001 Back to back one-hitters for Kerry and Jon Lieber. Other than that, it was much heralded Lance Dickson's debut where he left with an injury after a few innings. I did get Shawon Dunston's autograph in 1988 before a game.
  9. I don't care if it is unwarranted and unfair. I want him to fail miserably.
  10. Well, that was bound to happen. LSU, you're next.
  11. Adding a fixed Heyward and a whole season of Schwarbs to a 103 win team is almost unfair.
  12. You say that like there's something wrong with it.
  13. 2 year bowl ban plus scholarships. Freeze suspension. I doubt he gets a show cause since he isn't really named in any of this. Don't forget 4 infractions that go back to Nutt, the gift that keeps on giving.
  14. So, what type of penalties are you expecting? USC level? Lack of Institutional Control and 13 Level One infractions is serious business.
  15. I'm pretty sure it's going to be like last year with a little more RHP exposure for Baez. http://chicago.suntimes.com/sports/2b-or-not-2b-baez-fine-with-continued-job-share-in-cubs-infield/ Hmm. In the Effectively Wild podcast that was posted here yesterday, Sharma said he really gets the feeling that Javy would be the primary 2B.
  16. And a sweet trade for the Pels. Evans was not a good fit in NOLA and the other guys are role players at best. The Pelicans just got really interesting if this is true.
  17. Yeah, unless that USA Today article left out quotes I don't get how you see what he said as "anti-Trump." He just basically acknowledged that it affected his personal travel plans and that was unfortunate, essentially. If you question any aspect of the Supreme Leader, you are anti-Trump.

  19. You're more plugged in about Arkansas than I am (as far as basketball goes), is Anderson on the hot seat now? I agree with you that he needs to go, but I haven't heard anything from my friends/family (they're all more into football/baseball) down there so just curious if you heard anything. AS far as the fans and media go, he is definitely on the hot seat, as is John White the AD. Mike's roots go way back in Fayetteville, and he has one of the very top recruiting class coming in next season to go with a solid returning team, so that buys him some time probably. But he is doing nothing with what is up there now, shows no offensive plays...ever, and now the team isn't even coming to play lately. His TO speeches are basically "go get 'em" and "keep fighting". It's like he's never seen a dry erase board. I am done with him, and most of us feel the same.
  20. that's a very weird rule by this definition, the Dallas Cowboys don't have a rivalry with anybody in their division I mean we are talking about something that is not exactly a science here. I really dislike the Panthers, meh on the Bucs, but the Falcons have this entitlement that is completely unwarranted. I also think all the New Orleanians who relocated to Atlanta after Katrina took the rivalry to a whole new level.
  21. As an outsider, this always seems like one of the most forced "rivalries." Like if somebody was REALLY invested in the Cubs and Pirates clashing simply because they technically played in the same division. Absolutely not forced. I hate Atlanta, and I can promise you that everyone around me at the bar last night was cheering for the Pats almost like they were the Saints. It's the fans. Every time they come to town they are the most obnoxious, trash talking bunch of derelicts of any fan base. There are always fights in the Dome with them. The city poses as some LA of the South-the exact opposite of New Orleans. All faux glitz, no substance. Atlanta and their fans are the worst. The hate goes back to the NFC West days.
  22. jesus, he's not Cindy Sandberg =D>
  23. Worst loss of the Mike Anderson tenure at Arkansas. He has to go.
