  1. I need to start watching more Dodger games. The dude licked his bat then did this centipede like move when he got pitched high and tight.
  2. I watched the whole thing. It was great and I think Theo said all the right things. I don't think he was alluding to anyone in particular. Probably speaking about the team's mindset collectively and how they lost that killer edge. I really don't think the players got complacent. A bunch of players just struggled this year. Also, we need to remember this Cubs team won 95 games so we have to frame this disappointment in the right context. True, but some of those comments, like the noon game on getaway day in a long season, were pretty specific. No, there’s no shame in 95 wins, but [expletive] the bed against the Pirates, or those Brewers series took away any gleem of the season. There were some pretty worthless ABs in those games.
  3. Maybe old news to you guys who watched the whole presser, but the parts about guys just showing up, playing it cool, knowing theyre talented, or that 2 out of 3 in a series on getaway day was maybe “good enough” for some guys was as honest as I’ve ever heard a FO guy. Obviously he wasn’t alluding to Javy. KB was hurt. Rizzo? Contreras?
  4. Lol you think Theo implemented a strategy of not hitting dongs? you think chili davis accidentally became the team’s hitting coach? OR...Theo thought there needed to be more contact in the lineup, but unfortunately hired a guy that screwed up their approach at the plate and killed their power numbers.
  5. The more I think about the game today, the more I realize that last night probably just saved us from being eliminated by the Brewers anyway. This team was not going far this year.
  6. Abso-effing-lutely. Of everything that happened last night, this pissed me off most.
  7. 800 times or 900, having a lead this late and then not having a lead is blowing it. Plus the Cubs are where there are also largely due to one of their guys playing out of his mind for most of the season....he just unfortunately fell out of that mode for the last month+. Sure, but you're also discounting that KB and Rizzo fell well below their norms this season. Not to mention Willson.
  8. The game right after we clinch. I'm good with it. I'd rather see the Cubs sweep the Cards and keep them out of the playoffs. Yeah, the rational side of me wants to have nothing to do with a possible series in Coors field and possibly face a shitty StL team. The irrational me wants them obliterated from playoff contention.
  9. If you had as much blind passion as Hawk has, I’m pretty sure you’d have been fired by now.
  10. Still worried about the Saints running game.
  11. Think it has more to do with nobody on the team besides Lattimore can cover those big WRs.
  12. Georgia might as well buy their tickets to the SEC title game.
  13. Taggart is off to a rough start at FSU. Not only bad, but sloppy with some questionable coaching decisions already.
  14. lol Kevin Sumlin.
  15. How has Mond looked so far? I know they played NW St.
  16. Failing to throw a red challenge flag when his receiver was called down at the 1 yd line, then that awful 2-minute drill before halftime was some pretty bad coaching by Taggart.
  17. Have fun playing that 12:35 game tomorrow before the Cubs series Milwaukee.
  18. Kansas lost at home...to Nichols St.
  19. Gorgeous stadium in person, just practically in South Carolina.
  20. I’ll take informed over opinionated every day.
