  1. All guys with goatees look alike.
  2. The state university of Texas should always be in the top 10. That said I think there is no way Mack Brown doesn't finish the season, but then he gone. If you are going to Austin, be sure to try some restaurants while you're down there. Great food. That town has gotten huge in recent years, mostly the fedora-wearing, ironic mustached types.
  3. A friend of mine sent this to me after BYU rang up 500 yards rushing against Texas. I can't stop giggling. http://i.imgur.com/DppefLN.gif
  4. Glorious. The Chargers have been and will be a bunch of bitches. This happens every year.
  5. I can imagine Schiano's whole persona will eventually rub people the wrong way, especially if he is losing. However, this is Freeman's year to show something, so he may be the scapegoat if he doesn't progress. Both guys have the benefit of a fan base who doesn't give a damn unless they are winning.
  6. First thing that comes to mind for me is what a cluster [expletive] of "body language" discussion we'd have to endure if Cutler ever reacted like that. Rings matter. I hear ya, and if I were a Bears fan I would probably say the same thing, but if Cutler had a Super Bowl ring that conversation wouldn't be happening. As jersey suggested, that just further illustrates the point. You can win Super Bowls regardless of body language, but somehow stupid people don't get it, and continue to make a huge issue out of it when Cutler doesn't look all chipper and happy -- as if that's what makes the difference. Not saying I agree with the media at all, just illustrating how much weight is put on championships. Hell, if Eli hadn't won his rings the media would all over him like Sanchez, worse than Romo. "The little brother in the shadow of his older star brother and Hall of Fame father." ESPN would be all over that [expletive].
  7. I don't know why I am even surprised by this anymore. I say this as I watch Herm Edwards on the COORS LIGHT COLD HARD FACTS segment on ESPN. Just give him a red nose and clown shoes and remove all pretenses already. That said, it wouldn't surprise me if Texas players start to give up a bit on Mack Brown. I would say Ole Miss has an excellent chance to beat the Whorns.

  9. Outside of the obvious game Bama/aTm, Ole Miss at Texas and Ohio State at Cal are interesting. You guys really think Purdue is that bad?
  10. Careful, but the Saints might have an adequate defense. They beat a very good Falcons team without really clicking on offense. Nice game. Yes I just got back from the Dome, so take that with a shot of Jameson.
  11. Earlier I posted that Driskoll for Florida was a meh quarterback. EDIT: he is awful.
  12. At halftime, W Kentucky had a 4 to 1 margine over Tennesee in both passing and rushing yardage and time of possesion. The Vols led 31-17 because WKY turned the ball over 5 timed in 6 plays.

    Rizzo

    Sorry. SARCASM
  14. NOLA

    Rizzo

I'd be pretty upset to see Rizzo become like Grace the person More hits in the 90's than any other player. That is a big deal. Is it my imagination or didn't management tell Kerry Wood to stay away from Grace because they thought it would be a bad influence? If we see Rizzo with a pack of Malboro Reds in his sock then we know it's become a problem.
  15. NOLA

    Rizzo

With less contact but more power and I think that's it.
  16. By the way, Flacco tweeted around 7 CST that the Orioles are "gay" for not giving up the city to them tonight. This will create a little kerfuffle.
  17. Agreed. They are like Cardinals fans, Kobe Bryant, or anyone associated with the Miami Heat.
  18. I am strangely confident about the Saints/Falcons game, which is probably a terrible sign. The offense if anything looks better with a slimmer Mark Ingram, a healthy receiving core, and of course, Sean Payton back calling the plays. I think the addition of Ben Watson as a second tight end is an under the radar huge pick-up. They've been practicing a bunch of red zone sets this fall with an I of Ingram and Sproles, a two tight-end set of Graham and Watson, with Lance Moore and Colston wide. Who do you cover? My big question mark is LT. The defense looks much better so far (yes, I know). Vaccaro is looking great so far, and QB pressure without selling out on a blitz has been pretty solid. I'm not buying the media attention on the defensive injuries. Will Smith being out spares Payton and Rob Ryan of having to have a painful conversation when he loses playing time. I'm really excited to see how Wilson and Gallette look at OLB. Biggest question mark is CB, but your secondary is always going to look rough when the QB has all day to throw like last year. I know it's meatballish, but I have think everyone has something to prove this year, especially to those fucks in Atlanta.
  19. Absolutely. He is a much better player than he was when he played here. Detroit is a perfect place for him to thrive. Receivers to stretch the field and a good tight end to clear out the middle. He is going to kill it on screen passes and counter runs.
  20. NOLA

    Rizzo

    Rafael Palmiero with less machismo?
  21. NOLA

    Rizzo

That name is never to be uttered again.
  22. Florida/Miami has some potential. Waffling on that one. Normally I would say that Florida will destroy Miami, but I have zero confidence in the Gators offense. Driscoll is the embodiment of meh.
  23. Outside of SC/GA and Mich/ND...meh. EDIT: Although last week there were great games that didn't look like much going in.
  24. I'm actively watching Fox Sports 1 over ESPN. Yep.
  25. for those who were unaware, gretzky's mother is former american gladiator, Lace, seen here, below. http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Ht6Oo_qx5Vc/UYnmL3kqs8I/AAAAAAAAAkw/Wo_R4UwIOuU/s320/american_gladiators_box.jpg and his father was Glenn Close =D>
