Bears now 1-8 in 1 score games this season, they are the anti Vikings.

I don't think this is true, and a large portion of the US is heavily invested in the World Cup while the US is in it, and that portion only grows the deeper the team gets. It just hasn't been there for about 20 years since the US hasn't gotten past the round of 16. Hell, for the round of 16 game this cycle, we were at a bowling alley, and every TV had the Netherlands-US game on, and there were over 100 people there watching it.

30-28 Bears. Philly looks past the Bears the week after a bye and with a 2 game lead on the conference, lets up just enough offensively to give the Bears a huge lead, and despite their best efforts the Bears fail to let Philly all the way back.

He was definitely sick. Seems weird that he would just die during the middle of a match Plus his wife is one of the premier infectious disease experts in the world. If he was that sick, I am skeptical he would have gone to the match.

Cal tells Louisville to hold their beer, losing at home to a bad Eastern Washington team, leaving them just one game where they'll be favored the rest of the season.

Considering how little these guys have played together, I'm hoping that they continue to get better as the year goes. Based on how the schedule shakes out, it'll be a long time before they play a game they aren't favored in.

Green Bay picks up a win (a conference win!), leaving 3 teams winless: Louisville, California, and Central Connecticut. If it does get down to just Louisville and Cal, they should just schedule a neutral site shame game between the two just for kicks.

Down to 11 now. They're not favored in an individual game on KenPom until December 14th vs Western Kentucky, though in sum numbers say they win 1 of the next 4. Cal is in a similar position at 0-5 with their next favored game on Dec 7 against Eastern Washington Still following this, there are now only 4 teams that are winless on the year, and Louisville and Cal are two of them. One of the others (Green Bay) is favored in their next game this week, the other (Central Connecticut) is a 1-point dog in their game this week. Cal is favored over their opponent, Eastern Washington this week, but Louisville is still not favored in a game until late next week. Louisville plays their last buy games this week, and if they can't win either of those, they won't be favored in a single game the rest of the season.

It's amazing how close the US came to having none of England/France/Argentina/Spain/Belgium/Germany/Brazil/Portugal/Mexico/Denmark/Uruguay (the teams ranked ahead of the US at the time of the WC draw) on their half of the bracket.

Someone who knows more than me tell me why this would or wouldn't work. I mean, if Sargent can't go, I'd rather put Weah at the 9 and Reyna on the right wing, but overall it's not a terrible plan, and Wright didn't show much in the time he had on the field.

Japan beats Spain and Germany to win their froup and will play Croatia. Spain finishes 2nd despite winning a game 7-0 and will play Morocco.

This was basically identical to the ball Pulisic scored on against Iran, except Lukaku stopped and tried to chest the ball down to himself and a bad touch instead just bounced it sideways back to the keeper.

Landon has been saying it on the broadcast, but I agree, Belgium is playing with a weird lack of urgency in a "we'll take the draw here and just win the third leg" vibe where they just don't realize there are no more games after this if they don't score.
