  1. Basically, until Lonzo and Caruso return, the Bulls can't win a game where their offense isn't clicking. They're going to give up between 110 and 120 points per game, and they need the offense to score more than that to win.
  2. Well, FIFA banned Russia and ejected them from UEFA World Cup qualifying: EDIT: Something had to be done, as they were scheduled to playoff against Poland in 3 weeks, and Poland refused to play them.
  3. Ugh, Curbelo grabbing his neck after running into a hard screen is worrying. Hopefully it's not too bad, he came back in but it doesn't mean a whole lot long term. Hope he's feeling better overnight, really need him in the game late to prevent turnovers against pressing defenses.
  4. Without McKennie, I'd like to see the team go 4-4-2 with Adams as 6, CP as CAM and Musah/Gio on the wings, with Pepi/Aaronson up front. What's going to happen, though, is probably Acosta in place of McKennie and no possession on his side.
  5. Since everyone lost, I'd imagine almost nothing will change within the polls/bracket matrix overnight, except maybe Baylor rising up for beating Kansas.
  6. Not gonna lie, I am now openly rooting for the Lakers and Nets to finish 11th in each conference. Both are currently 3.5 games ahead of 11th as of the end of today.
  7. I'd probably rank them C-H-A-D-B-E-G-F
  8. EDIT: Now an English version.
  9. Howard may be suspended the rest of the season or fired, but what about the players throwing down? That is much more likely to affect at least Michigan's future over the next couple weeks if they lose starters for the next few games, even without Howard on the bench.
  10. Tara Lipinski and Johnny Weir throwing some shade about the Kamila Valiyeva situation: The crux: Valiyeva had a positive drug test for doping for three separate medications, but the IOC didn't learn this until she was already at the Olympics. Despite disqualifying every other athlete that has had a positive test in the past, they are allowing her to perform anyway, and just won't do a medal ceremony if she wins. She claims it was accidental and she didn't know what she was taking, but Lipinski (and Weir, but Lipinski specifically winning at the same age) is well aware of the drug testing and that this kind of thing could never be accidental. Even if the athlete didn't know what she was taking, the Russian federation definitely knew what was up, and the IOC is just letting them get away with it for no punishment.
  11. Could the Nets miss the playoffs entirely? They've fallen to 8th in the conference, are about to lose their 11th straight, are just one game up on Charlotte for 9th, with a red hot Atlanta Hawks team charging at 10th now. All it takes is either the Knicks or Wizards to get hot and Brooklyn could be on the outside looking in.
  12. If anything, the Bulls are doing better defensively than yesterday, but can't hit anything from distance, and OKC has made some silly shots. That's the only reason this game is close right now.
  13. It's Neil Funk night on the broadcast, to remind us just how unwatchable the broadcast was prior to 2020
  14. Now the Nets have two starters who are afraid of shots.
  15. Rebounding was bad, pick and roll defense was bad, couldn't hit shots, Purdue couldn't miss, and this is what happens. However, for a while I was concerned Frazier's career was over, so for some reason I'm not as disappointed as I should be.
  16. I have no idea what in the hell the Kings are doing Somebody has to be the 10th best team in the West. Might as well be them?
  17. Good thread on coaching:
  18. 15-14 for Ayo tonight. Better finish to the game too.
  19. It’s the first decent team we’ve played on the road since Caruso was hurt. I was encouraged actually that they stayed in it as the raptors just destroy us with size. I know this is not a popular thing to say but I think Ayo really hurt us down the stretch. Last couple possessions were rough for him, for sure, some bad turnovers at bad times. Defense continues to be an issue for the team, where the offense has to be clicking to win games. Green, Bradley and Ayo are really the only plus defenders they've got available right now, and until Ball and Caruso get back, they'll have to win games by out-offensing their poor team defense, which gets even harder to do if Zach and Coby are out extended periods.
  20. Huge Illinois-Wisconsin game tonight in blizzard conditions, to the point where anyone travelling for the game couldn't get there. So Illinois did something smart and said any students would be admitted to the game free, and provided an avenue for anyone who had tickets and couldn't make it to the game could easily move their tickets to someone who could make the game. The result is that the entire crowd tonight is basically all Illinois students, and it's ass raucous an atmosphere as has been at the SFC all season.
  21. This was the first time the US has scored goals off set pieces this entire cycle. Correct, I’ve read that a few times though as the reason why they haven’t scored as many goals in WCQ. Maybe I’m reading the wrong sites They tend to have a lot of issues being CONCACAF'd in the final third (defenders just trying to goon up the game, primarily by murdering Pulisic), but more than any other cycle they've dominated play. They just haven't finished well overall.
  22. This was the first time the US has scored goals off set pieces this entire cycle.
  23. Pulisic enters, immediately gets thrown to the ground, scores 1 minute later.
