Illinois would be pretty scary with an all-B1G PG. Fully expecting them to lose Thursday, because they always play like garbage against Maryland.

Week 18 schedule is now set. Chiefs-Broncos and Cowboys-Eagles flexed to Saturday, Chargers-Raiders flexed to Sunday night. Noon CST games are Bears-Vikings, Packers-Lions, Steelers-Ravens, Bengals-Browns, Giants-WFT, Colts-Jags and Titans-Texans. 3:25 CST games are Rams-49ers, Seahawks-Cardinals, Bucs-Panthers, Saints-Falcons and Jets-Bills.

Most of the schedule difference for Milwaukee at this point is that they've already played 13 of their 16 games against the Pistons, Magic, Rockets, Thunder, Pelicans and Pacers (basically the only teams effectively out of contention at this point). Interesting. Quick count and the Bulls have played those teams 9 times so not too far behind but those 4 extra games might be the difference in winning the division. I miscounted, they've played 15 of 18 games against those 6 teams (4 vs ORL, 3 vs DET, 3 vs IND, 2 vs HOU, 2 vs NO, 1 vs OKC). They are 12-3 in those games. The Bulls have played 10 of 18 games against those teams (2 vs ORL, 2 vs DET, 3 vs IND, 2 vs HOU, 1 vs NO). They are 8-2 in those games.

Yep, thanks to the schedule rework the Bulls have a stretch of 4 games in 5 days next week, 2 of which are against the Nets and Warriors. Pluss they haven't played the Bucks at all yet. 5-5 in the next 10 wouldn't be surprising.

To give an idea how difficult it is to win every game, even when it seems easy, Milwaukee just lost a home game to Detroit.

I think it applies to not only every sport, but almost every corporate entity, the #1 criteria for hiring is prior experience (even if that experience was effectively destroying a franchise), but after that, the #2 is knowing someone already in the business, and nepotism is a built in version of that. However, the NFL does seem particularly egregious for inbred coaching hires. How many chances did Rex Ryan get to fail because he was the son of Buddy Ryan?

I happened to luck out a bit, my opponent's team put up an abysmal score across the board, totaled under 50 points combined from his whole team, while I had Jamarr Chase. -
Hot take: I think Brown is still suffering severe issues from this, and never really recovered: Hotter take: The NFL is just kind of broken as a sport by default right now, and despite changes to try to make it "more safe", it's never really going to be appropriately safe in the form it is.

Saints win, so the NFC playoff picture continues unclinched for one more week. Eagles will still clinch a playoff spot if the VIkings lose, though. Chargers also beat the Broncos, which eliminates both the Browns and Broncos. Browns play the Steelers tomorrow, and Steelers would be eliminated with a loss.

As for the NFC: Packers clinch the 1 seed if ARI hangs on and GB beats MIN tonight. Rams still don't clinch the division if ARI hangs on, but would be in the 2 seed position. Bucs clinched the division but lose all the tiebreakers, so can only get the 1 seed at this point if they win, GB loses twice, DAL loses once, and LAR loses once. Dallas falls to the 4 seed with a loss, but have already clinched the division and will win any tiebreakers with non-Arizona teams even with a loss today. Arizona clinches no worse than the 5 seed with a win (and the 4 seed at this point is Dallas). Philly clinches a playoff spot if MIN loses tonight, thanks to the SF win. Niners would clinch a playoff spot if the Panthers come back to win or tie the game with the Saints. Saints need two wins and a Niners loss or two Vikings wins at this point to make the playoffs. Vikings need two wins, a Philly loss, a Saints loss and/or a Niners loss.

Chargers-Raiders looks like it'll be the primetime game for next week. Titans take the AFC South and hold the top spot in the AFC, despite having a DVOA about on par with the Bears. Bengals win the AFC North by beating the Chiefs, and currently hold the 3 seed. Buffalo and New England also both clinch playoff spots with wins and the Ravens loss. Colts still in good shape for a playoff spot, just have to beat the Jags next week. Last AFC spot will go to the Chargers-Raiders winner next week.

That 30 yard catch on 3rd and 27 for Chase gives him 266 yards, which is a Bengals record (old record was 260 for Chad Johnson), and would be 15th all time for most receiving yards in a game (record is 336 by Flipper Anderson of the Rams in 1989).

Make that 3 sacks and 2 fumbles, though he did pick up a 2nd completion.

Midway through the 3rd quarter, Mike Glennon is 1 for 4 with 2 sacks, a fumble and an INT. And the completion probably should have been a sack.

Updated East ELO playoff projections: 1. Bucks 52-30 2. Bulls 52-30 3. Nets 51-31 4. 76ers 49-33 5. Heat 49-33 6. Cavs 47-35 --------------------- 7. Hornets 44-38 8. Celtics 42-40 9. Wizards 41-41 10. Hawks 40-42 ---------------------- 11. Raptors 38-44 12. Knicks 38-44 13. Pacers 35-47 14. Magic 20-62 15. Pistons 18-64 Really, at this point, it's only been the Magic and Pistons that are tanking. Pacers have really struggled of late, so even with overall fairly respectable numbers they've already banked a bunch of close losses. Top 5 have definitely separated from the teams 7-12, and it looks like, at least at this point, the Bulls are well clear of being concerned about the play-in round. If they can hold onto the top 2, the quality of team they'll get in the first round is significantly worse than finishing 3-6 (depending how sold you are on the Cavs). Top 5 are still extremely close in projections (76ers have generally played much better than their record, they're due for a correction soon).

Side note: Robbie Hummel is probably the best basketball color analyst I've heard. Good insight on the game, goes in depth on every big play, knows what he's talking about, just really good.

Finished with 72 I believe. Need that extra big I have a feeling they'll add a Tony Bradley-type any day now.
