  1. Monte's going with him as well.
  2. I'm hoping DePaul hires Lowery away from us. There's been a lot of rumblings over the last 24 hours that there's mutual interest between Lowery and the school. I like DePaul, but that would be a very mediocre hire for them. Lowery's a guy that has recruited better than his predecessors here at SIU, but he hasn't been able to coach these guys into great players. Our program has sunk the last couple of years. It figured that we'd have a down year eventually, but to have three seasons in a row where we're going to miss the NCAA Tournament (including two seasons where we might finish under .500) is completely unacceptable.
  3. I highly suspect this to be the case as well. Bingo. I guarantee that this wouldn't have happened if a team like the Raiders or Browns were interested in him.
  4. Packers.
  5. Rodgers has never been able to throw the deep ball with consistency. He doesn't understand that when the receiver has the safety beat you just loft it over the top and make it an easy catch. He always wants to throw a bullet as if he's threading a needle. I still think he's a great QB. I wouldn't be laying this loss at his feet. The Packers' supposedly amazing D laid a huge egg yesterday, and the Cardinals didn't even have Boldin. Yeah, it would be tough to blame Rodgers. Sure he missed that pass but the offense scored 45 points. Can't really blame him. I'm excited about him big time, it's possible that he is on the verge of being the best in the league and it's been a while since the Packers have had a good QB. Exactly, it's impossible to fault him for the loss considering he was a gigantic reason why we even made that gigantic comeback in the first place. We scored 45 points and 35 points in the second half. In our other loss in the second half of the season, we scored 36 points with Rodgers having a big game against Pittsburgh too. We just need to get more depth in our secondary. It's clear that should be our biggest priority; even before drafting offensive linemen.
  6. Well, this is the only team I have now (as well as basically everyone else on here) who has a shot at anything now. Sure enough, they're doing a great job at crapping the bed the last three periods.
  7. That was disgusting. Three of our last four playoff losses have been some of the most demoralizing losses imaginable. Rodgers was absolutely awesome after the first quarter and it just figures that he misses a wide open Jennings to start OT.
  8. Wow what a prick.
  9. Unfortunately 100+ years without winning a title is far worse.
  10. Cedric Benson is a stud. Wake up, Bengals. I don't want fat ass Ryan beating you.
  11. And please, knock it off with that 13th title crap too.
  12. lol, the Alabama detractors are just as funny as RF. My God, I wouldn't care if my team was playing Florida A&M in the championship game. A title is a title, no ifs ands or buts about it. At the end of the day, the only thing that matters is who actually wins the gold and not who you beat to win the championship. Anyone calling this a sham title for Alabama isn't in their right frame of mind.
  13. This team is just ridiculous. They basically spotted Boston a two goal lead and they come back to score four goals in the next twenty minutes. It's not like the Bruins are a pushover either.
  14. I'm rooting for an Alabama blowout.
  15. I'm not going to make any playoff predictions because I'll do something stupid like picking the Packers to go farther than they really will. I'll give the QB rankings a shot though. Manning Brady Brees Favre Rodgers Rivers McNabb Warner Romo Flacco Palmer Sanchez 4-6 are all very tight, then I think there's a small gap between sixth and seventh. 7-11 are all pretty interchangeable as well.
  16. It was a pretty boring night so I went to the Icehogs game. They won as time expired in OT, which was pretty incredible and somewhat impossible (or so I thought). Crawford wasn't in net unfortunately but a pretty big positive was that you could tell a few of the forwards have some potential. We know about Skille and Bickell, but some of the other guys like Dowell, Cullen aren't bad either. Niemi will be in net against Boston tomorrow.
  17. Dan Bernstein - the same fool that said we'd be getting Kobe in October of 2007. I don't trust that moron for a second when it comes to trade rumors.
  18. With the majority of there team returning as well. But there not in a bcs conference so they wont be given a shot. It's possible that they could be the preseason number two team in the nation next year. They'll be given a shot. Great win for them tonight. Their defense definitely impressed me.
  19. We were down by 13 at the half to Bradley on the road and then we nearly score 50 in the second half to win 86-81. That's like the fourth game this year where we've had a gigantic comeback in the second half. A great start to MVC play and now the game against UNI is going to be a pretty big one for conference implications.
  20. Yeah, I'm pretty peeved that Buff didn't make it.
  21. The Pistons are very bad. I think their coach is worse than VDN. That was actually pretty fun, although the Palace is a very strange venue. It definitely doesn't have a professional feel to it.
  22. At the very least he has a much cooler voice. Lovie's voice is cool. I think Barnes is going to be a player comparable to Wes Welker. Not the tallest or fastest guy, but a possession guy who gets it done. The guy's a legitimate NFL player, for sure. It's sad how games that feature little defense at all are usually the most exciting to watch. The MAC definitely doesn't feature premiere defensive teams and the WAC usually doesn't either. I figured this would be one of the more entertaining games of the bowl season because of that reason and sure enough, it didn't really disappoint. Even if Idaho didn't convert the two pointer, that would have still been the right decision. There's no way Idaho's defense was going to stop Bowling Green in OT.
  23. Ya think?
  24. I've been for this for quite some time now. We absolutely need to move Hinrich before the deadline. I'm going to Auburn Hills tomorrow afternoon. So much for not watching this team under VDN, although the tickets were just $8 a person. Kind of hard to pass that up.
  25. I might be going to this game on the way back from Toronto. I'm pretty interested in checking out Ford Field.
