  1. If Campbell's out for the year, we're fucked. A defense that has already been struggling now gets even worse. That's by far the most damaging thing about today.
  2. Enjoy the end of your "dream" season. Way to be a [expletive]. Typical Illinois fan. Oh I didn't get my way so I'm going to take the low road. EDIt: I will enjoy my dream season. Next year when all but Kramer and Grant are back. How is he being an [expletive]?
  3. Again, I'm not sure how Virginia Tech is in over Illinois. I definitely don't see how Mississippi State is in if they lose to Kentucky. And if Illinois was 'punished' by losing in double OT to Ohio State, what happens if Minnesota loses to them in regulation tomorrow? 5:00 is going to be interesting.
  4. Packers re-signed Pickett and Collins to long-term deals and also re-signed Tauscher. They also introducted a third jersey for this season as well: http://packerslounge.com/2010/03/12/the-new-jersey/
  5. Uh Ohio State won't lose to a 15 seed and Michigan State likely won't lose to a 13 seed. Reading's fundamental. That's why I said they couldn't make it to the second weekend of the tournament. Ohio State and Michigan State won't lose to a 15 or a 13, but they certainly could lose to a 7 and 5.
  6. I'm at the point where I'm hoping we just shut Rose and Noah down for the rest of the year and land a top eight draft pick in the process.
  7. There's a realistic chance where we could see no Big Ten teams in the second weekend of the tournament, provided the draws. Ohio State is definitely beatable. If Cal wins this game and then Utah State wins tonight with Kentucky winning tomorrow, Illinois has to be in.
  8. Major apology to bukie and everyone else on here. I was at the Big Ten Tournament the last few days and the hotel that we stayed at didn't have internet. Imagine that. Again, really sorry about that.
  9. The first one was horrid. The second one wasn't obviously as bad, but it still was soft. He was pretty good outside of that, though. I'll take that performance every time from whoever our goalkeeper is for the rest of the year.
  10. I figured Charles would take off next year in a similar fashion to what we saw from Chris Johnson the past year. He was sensational in the second half of the season. I don't get the Jones move at all for them.
  11. We're definitely going offensive line here. Now the question remains whether or not we take a tackle or a guard. Re-signing Clifton certainly helps a line that vastly improved in the second half of the season. TJ Lang was also a gigantic bright spot whenever he filled in for Clifton or Tauscher. Josh Sitton was pretty decent at one of the guard spots. The other guard position is still a gigantic question mark. Therefore, the Packers select Mike Iupati out of the glamorous University of Idaho.
  12. I still thought we were a top eight team in the East, but again that was before Noah's foot injury became much more serious than we initially thought. Noah's really showing how valuable he is to this team since he's been out; primarily on the defensive end. So I guess I was wrong, but it's really hard to claim someone as being right because we'll never really know how this team would've performed with a 100% Noah for the final month and a half of the season.
  13. We're just not that good. It's tough to win games when you only have two legitimate NBA players in your rotation with one of them suffering another injury tonight. I don't really care. If we make the playoffs, we'll lose in embarrassing fashion.
  14. Charlotte lost in the first round of the A-10 tournament to UMass. One less bubble team out there.
  15. So we're playing in the play-in round of the MVC Tournament tomorrow in St. Louis. Of course, the one year that I actually go to the tournament is this year when we're 9th in the conference. How the mighty (in mid-major terms) have fallen.
  16. Huet is absolutely a starter in this league, and it's not close. There aren't two dozen better goalies in the league right now. He may not be the ideal starter for a Cup contender, and he may be overpaid, but he's definitely a No. 1 somewhere in the league. I wouldn't say "it's not close", but otherwise I agree. Huet is a starter on quite a few teams in this league. He's just not a starter for a team that's trying to win a Cup.
  17. I've only seen the last ten minutes, but most of the calls are very one-sided. Hightower can screw off.
  18. yeah, it really is hard to get excited about our chances of winning a cup with the goalies we have. it would be such a shame too. such an amazing team ruined due to the lack of one position. i really have a feeling that someone will be brought in tomorrow though. just not sure if it will be somebody good. I still believe an old Marty Turco is better than Huet or Niemi.
  19. If we don't acquire a goalie by tomorrow, I'm not going to expect much from this team in April.
  20. He's horrible. Oh well, I expected a loss when I saw Deng was out. It's tough to win a game with one good player and a couple of marginal players when you're playing one of the best teams in the conference. I've always rooted for Hinrich since he was drafted (because, I'm sure I've said this before, of the state he came from). In 05 I bought his jersey for some reason but now he pisses me off more and more. I don't know how I haven't broken any appliances from watching him constantly miss open jump shots. I have a Hinrich jersey too that I got in 05 as well. I don't think I've worn it since the 07 playoffs.
  21. He's horrible. Oh well, I expected a loss when I saw Deng was out. It's tough to win a game with one good player and a couple of marginal players when you're playing one of the best teams in the conference.
  22. The Havlat goal against Vancouver in Game 3 made me erupt. The goal at the end of regulation today was probably the loudest I've ever cheered for a goal. That was awesome. A disappointing finish, but we shouldn't be upset at all. We proved during this tournament that we were a legitimate gold medal contender for the past week and a half. Please don't [expletive] this up for 2014, Buttman.
  23. The Bulls, including Rose, are just out there collecting their paychecks. No effort at all. Right...not sure how you could dislike Rose's game tonight. He was the only bright spot that we had.
  24. Deng had the worst double-double performance that I think I've ever seen. Sure he had 18 rebounds, but he couldn't make a shot and he had some trouble holding onto the ball. We missed Noah in a major way tonight. There was one sequence where Hibbert had about four offensive rebounds before finally scoring on a put-back. I shouldn't have been that surprised. This team is still a .500 team and they obviously have the capability of losing to any team in this league.
  25. Hossa and Kopecky deserve medals. Hopefully they defeat Finland tomorrow. I thought for sure Demitra's shot was good as soon as he let it go. That was rather irritating.
