  1. DAMN YOU!! Ok, I'll need another few minutes. ' Figured you would be upset. C could be the Steelers biggest need. Don't really have a starter there right now.
  2. Alburquerque's game was postponed. :( Yeah, that's right.
  3. In response to this post, I'm gonna draft for the Bills.... Eric Wright, CB- UNLV. Possibly the most talented CB in the draft. Was a top recruit to USC but was dismissed for personal issues. Best CB on the board right now at a need position for the Bills. Bob Sanders and the Falcons are on the clock. PM Sent.
  4. Everyone should be forced to wear high pants too for Jackie Robinson day. Heck, for the whole year because uniforms look best that way.
  5. And so the QB controversy begins... I don't think there will be any controversy.....at least not until Delhomme struggles. If Carr is as good as everyone projected out of college, he should be able to show it with Steve Smith on his team.
  6. Let's keep it going. Nice start for the top prospects.....Gallagher, Colvin, Pie. The group of SPs at AA and below are likely to make it tough on the hitters they face. My prediction: Veal, Samardzija and Albuquerque will strike out a combined 20 men and give up 10 or few hits and less than 4 runs combined.
  7. Dave Bush against the Cubs last year. 5 Starts, 35.67 IP, 32 hits, 12 ER, 2 BB, 29 Ks 3.03 ERA Take out his first start of 5 ERs and 10 hits in 6 innings. And his ERA is in the 2.4s. Very tough matchup.
  8. Really like this year's Chiefs team.
  9. Im pleased with you Soriano12.... good work. I would have gone with Jarrett here. I think he's the best player left on the board. He could very well be a Muhsin clone for the Bears (like when he was good). Rufus is still a little reach here I think.
  10. He's almost as good as Miguel Cabrera. Unlike Cabrera, he's on my most important fantasy team. Sizemore has a very good shot to be the MVP this season, and a good shot to be one of the best players in baseball from 2007-2012.
  11. Need some Dempster insurance here. 1 run lead will never hold up with him.
  12. Rufus would be a reach @ #20, and I meant to say if we didnt draft Timmons there we could look at Rufus later in the draft, but not at #20. how good is Beason? when would he be a good pick...? I like Beason a lot. It's kinda just personal preference between he and Timmons. Beason is much more polished, better tackler, more versatile (can play MLB if necessary) but not as athletic. If it came down to Beason or Timmons, it depends if the team wants finished product vs. upside. I think Timmons is the better long-term prospect, but Beason will make fewer rookie mistakes. I actually like Beason because the U has produced some great LBs.
  13. 12th? Your league sucks. reyes, pujols, soriano, santana, ortiz, howard, sizemore, beltran, arod, vlad, wright, then cabrera and crawford to me at 12/13 why does that suck? Pujols, Reyes, Santana, ARod, Soriano, Howard, Utley, Crawford, Ortiz, Beltran, Wright, Guerrero, Cabrera (13th) in my league. We sub OPS for BA, though... (OPS, H, R, HR, RBI, SB). I'd pick Cabrera over Vlad and Wright easily. I'd probably pick him over Beltran and Sizemore too, because of position. Doesn't really suck though. Oh yeah, and him mocking Moises was absolutely hilarious.
  14. cuz Briggsy (as good as he is) cant play 3 positions at once... but who would play the will spot? posluszny? Timmons if he is availible @ #20, or possible Rufus Alexander...but there are options this year.. I'd do this deal, and snatch up Timmons. At 20, Timmons would be ultra-cheap compared to what Briggs wants. And Timmons has incredible athleticism, though word is he's a bit raw. Timmons would be a great fit to replace Briggs. He is raw, but he can run and is pretty good against the pass and can rush the QB a little, similar to Briggs. Alexander would be a huge reach at 20. I've seen him projected in the 3rd round, though not as late as the Bears pick. If the Bears don't go LB in the 1st or 2nd, I'd rather go after Durant than Rufus.
  15. Arenas is done for the year. He'll be sitting next to fellow All-Star Caron Butler on the bench for the rest of this year and playoffs. OUCH!
  16. I'd imagine they'd have to sweeten it a lot to top the Redskins deal or am I just being dim? I think its alot better cuz we dont have to give up the 31st pick, giving us 2 in the first round...(thats they way I am reading it anyway..) still, maybe the Giants can kick in a 3-4 rd'r too... :) I'd probably take it straight up, if the Bears got to keep all their picks. 3 picks from 20-37 could conceivably bring in 3 starters, provided the Bears have 3 holes to fill. but why not just give the money to briggs instead of to 2 first round picks? You won't be giving $25-30M guaranteed to players in the bottom 1/3 of the 1st round. The 6th pick, was another story.

    Week 1

Yep, it's starting again. I'm playing the team that is outscoring the rest of the league by 35 points. I'm 8th in scoring, but 2-7 are all between 137 and 143, and I'm within 10 points from 2nd place. That of course would put me in a close game if I played any other team in the league....but NO, I again draw a team on a hot week. DAMN!
  20. I like Big Ben and all, but when Noc comes back, this team is gonna be able to play most teams with Tyrus at the 5.

    Week 1

Get a great game by Hamels only to be matched by Lilly. Can't complain about that though, since it's the Cubs.
  22. Decent 3rd quarter by the Bulls. Best game Kirk has played all year.
  23. Yep, at least since 2003.
  24. They could use a #3 WR, though Dallas Clark basically played that role this year and did it well. Steve Smith (USC) would be a reach at 32, but would be a near perfect fit. Sidney Rice is a better pick, but its obviously a homer one, coming from me. Rice is more talented, without a question. But Smith is the perfect fit for the Colts O. He's a smart WR, great route runner, sure hands, and can run after the catch. He's Marvin Harrison without the speed. Sid is all those things and he's 6'4 and can catch the ball in traffic. I understand what you are saying, but I think Rice fits with Indy just as much as Smith. The scouting reports I've seen have all said he needs to refine his route running and doesn't do much after the catch.
