  1. Yeah that stretch sucks, but mainly because of the multiple short weeks. But I don't understand the sentiment about the schedule being brutal or the first 3 games being awful. Are people forgetting the Bears won 5 games last year? Only 3 of the last 13? They could start off with the Vikings, Rams and 49ers (teams with losing records) and that would still be tough, because all those teams were BETTER than the Bears last year. Every game is going to be tough for this team. I'd rather get the toughest games out of the way early. New coach, new defensive scheme. I would prefer the hardest games to come later in the year when we've geled more and hopefully gained some confidence. Eh, @ Seattle is a loss no matter when you play it. Based on the last decade, Green Bay is a loss no matter when you play. I'd rather start 1-2 and have those losses out of the way than to need one of those games late in the season if the Bears are lucky enough to be competitive down the stretch.

  3. first reaction is: do not like. Back-to-back Thanksgiving games. Hate.
  4. Negrin pitched game 2 yesterday for Iowa.
  5. LOL. What the hell are they going to do if Alcantara and Baez tear the cover off the ball in AAA? The Cubs basically had 2 top 25 prospects fail (briefly w/ SSS), and replace them with 2 top 5 guys. Hahahaha.
  6. Moving to Pittsburgh FINALLY pays off! Be jealous mutha [expletive]!
  7. How about one of the top remaining OTs on the board for Tampa (one of their biggest needs)? Either Jake Fisher of Oregon (who I think is a first rounder) or Cedric Ogbuehi of Texas A&M (who apparently might not make it out of the first round despite his injury). 100% Fisher. Agree fully, 1st round talent.
  8. Dan Vogelbach has a healthy slash line of .556/.636/.704 Schwarber not too bad either at .286/.474/.643
  9. South Bend scored 11 runs, without a single extra base hits. 14 singles and 9 walks.
  10. GS in 5 Dallas in 7 Spurs in 6 Memphis in 6 Atlanta in 5 Cleveland in 3 (they'll destroy Boston and they'll forfeit the last game) Chicago in 6 Washington in 6
  11. Baez debut 0-5, 3 Ks, before knocking out a game-winning HR. Cubs win in extras 6-5. Bryant debut 0-4, 3 Ks. Pretty clear the Cubs are tying this, Bryant flies out in the 10th, and then wins it on a walk-off in the 11th.
  12. It's going to be so awesome when Castro is still a really good player and is the 5th best hitter on this team.
  13. Perriman's dad was a solid WR in the Detroit run-and-shoot offense of the 90s. But yeah, he's not a 1st round talent, let alone top 10. WTF?
  14. Not really. CBS/NFL Draft Scout has Dorsett ranked 37th overall (I believe), and this is the 31st pick.
  15. Any chance he can play 3b better than LF and Bryant? He's really terrible in the OF.
  16. Pretty sure every top 10 team meets with potential top 10 QBs every year. And there was Jaws yesterday saying Mariota was the pick at #1. It's due diligence, but will be ultimately pointless.
  17. I PM'd my pick, but I am able to make it. Arizona selects Arik Armstead, DL, Oregon.
  18. Damn raw dawg......I remember posting with you along with a few others when you could still go back and see the very 1st post made on every one of the ESPN boards. [expletive] dude whats up?
  19. Steelers select Landon Collins, S Alabama.
  20. Swung at 2 in the dirt and he throws it right down the middle?
  21. Texans was my pick, but we can let this stand. Oops, sorry about that. Raw sent the PM before you made the pick for the Dolphins and it never occurred to me to check. At least it was the same guy you would have taken (or an acceptable replacement at least). Well, I think there's virtually no chance the Texans take a RB in the first round, but it's a mock draft. No reason to break up the rhythm. FWIW, per Walter Football, Gurley was the only 1st round prospect they have met with or interviewed (other than Winston). Both Walter mocks have them taking Gurley also. It was between him, Shane Ray, and Perriman as my pick. And they have shown interest in a lot of 2nd/3rd round WRs based on WF's list.
  22. Texans was my pick, but we can let this stand. Ah, so that's where I screwed up. LOL. Sorry. I knew I had a pick coming up and choose the wrong team. If you want to change the pick that's cool. I'd still stick wtih Gordon for SD.
