  1. He hasn't done much. But not standing out as a disaster is his new status quo. Yeah, he's not making impact plays at all, he's just not doing anything horribly wrong. High number of tackles (has led the team every game til yesterday, I believe), but a lot of them are down the field in pursuit.
  2. Pham has had some success against Arrieta, I believe
  3. Promising season?????? Yes. He was not a disaster. In fact, he was pretty average (though PFF loves him for whatever reason). It's certainly promising in his first year at the position, considering he was a disaster in the first 3 years in his career.
  4. What can I say, he was a catastrophe last night yeah it was a road game but 5 ints speak very loudly against him. Maybe if he wasn't being pumped by some as a polished NFL-ready QB I'd feel different. What I saw was a guy who has a ton of work to do. Yes I do know it's one game. He's not a polished NFL-ready QB. There'll be a learning curve since he plays in such a vastly different offensive scheme than anything he'll run in the NFL. Same thing said about Mariota and Cam Newton. But I do agree, but simply because he's not as good as them; not because of his college offense.
  5. All of a sudden, the Bears find themselves a 1/2 game out of a playoff spot after being everyone's odds on favorites to have the first overall pick (everyone was stupid for thinking that, FWIW), and going on the road to face an 0-5 division rival. In fact, the remaining schedule only has 2 teams left that currently have winning records: The 5-0 Packers and the uninspiring 5-0 Broncos.
  6. The hope is Jeffery will be. I'd imagine Royal is pretty close too.
  7. Ninny. Lol. Once you know you can't throw the football, you have to protect it. Cutler didn't. You douche.
  8. Yeah I guess so. What's your point? People who can't say anything bad about Cutler are just as bad as people who can't say anything good. I've said lots of bad things about cutler, but blaming him for fumbling when the line doesn't block is just dumb. Not as dumb as saying he's not supposed to treat the ball like it's precious.
  9. To be fair, the bears do suck. And have been penalized a lot this year.

  11. The one when he forgot to block 2 tackles coming free up the middle? No reason to fumble that ball. He saw it coming. Protect the ball. haha, okay. Two guys come free and instantaneously get to QB as he's looking for receivers. But it's Jay's fault for not holding the ball like a precious vase. It's Jay's fault for making that 7 as opposed to 2 and the ball but that's griping. The line is terrible and people literally want to blame everything on Jay which is completely wrong. Yeah. That's me. Anti Cutler. Chiefs sent 2 blockers on 1 guy (Grasu). It wouldn't have even been 2 I don't think. I think the ball was partly out of the end zone when contact was made. But him not holding the ball made it 7.

He should hold the ball like a precious vase. That's football. No other QB fumbles that ball. Cutler consistently does.

  14. 10 false starts already this year.
  15. Terrible play by Jay.
  16. 5 opening day starters out. 6 if you count Montgomery. Ratliff replacing Sutton. But the others are being replaced by a rookie in his NFL debut (Grasu), a 2nd year 7th round pick (Leno), a UDFA (Jones-Quartey), a 3rd year 6th round pick (Wilson), another UDFA (Bellamy or Meredith). If Cutler pulls this one off, he should go down in Chicago Bears lore. this game is set up for him to be a hero. he'll likely get planted and hurt, though. wouldn't be surprised if Fales finished it. you wouldn't be surprised if Fales finishes it, in response to a post saying that Fales is inactive today? You do know that 3rd QB can still play if inactive right? If he comes in though the other 2 QBS cannot play again.
  17. Mcclellin may actually be able to play football.

  19. Jeffery and Royal out. Bears active WRs have combined for 37 career catches. Antrel Rolle out. Hasn't missed a game since 2009. Last year, Jared Allen, Matt Slauson, and Lamarr Houston all missed games for the first time in their careers. Lack of talent and bad luck don't mix.
  20. I'm friends with a Bears fan that is totally in the tank for him and is mildly annoyed that the Bears are probably not bad enough to take him at #1. Goff isn't terrible. He's just not a #1 pick worthy guy. He's somewhere between Derek Carr and Matt Ryan. He's not as good of a prospect as Winston and Mariota were last year, but he's not as bad as the Geno Smith, EJ Manuel class of QBs. If drafts were 100% based on picking the best player available, he's probably right in the middle of the 1st round, IMO. But the fact that he's a QB (and the top QB at that), he'll probably go somewhere in the top 8.
  21. No. I already told you the lineup on the 1st page of this thread. Castro is 10-22 with 2 HRs and 2 doubles vs. Wacha. He better be starting over Tommy LaStella.
  22. Ideal Cubs lineup for this game would probably be: CF Fowler 2-5, BB LF Schwarber has not faced 3B Bryant 3-10, dong, double, triple 1B Rizzo 10-22, 2 dongs 2B Castro 10-22, 2 dongs, 2 doubles RF Soler 2-5, dong SS Baez 2-5, both doubles C Montero 2-15, 4 RBIs I'm sure Russell will start at SS, but he is 0-5 vs. Wacha. Coghlan is 1-8.
