To be fair, the one thing Emery has done is go after healthy players. Neither Slauson or Bushrod has ever missed a game since becoming full-time starters. Garza has missed 2 games in the last 10 years. Marshall hasn't missed any games since he turned his life around, can only assume his conditioning has gone along with that. This year, he signed Allen, Mundy, and Houston. Allen has missed 2 games in 10 years. Houston and Mundy have never missed a game in 9 combined seasons. Even the draft picks are guys that have been healthy in college. That's not to say these guys will play all 16, but the odds are in favor of a lot of the guys. Plus, the Bears are more equipped to handle injuries or guys not at 100% like Peppers and Tillman were most of the season.
