I want Javy up now, because I have some weird notion that the Cubs could compete next year. Plus, I like the thought of having these guys come up in waves. If for nothing else, the pressure won't be on all 4 of the big 4 at the same time, and they all struggle together. Javy is the most logical to come up now. No real defensive questions, 1 1/2 spring trainings with the team, doesn't really need work on his defensive position, and has the most minor league ABs of the group, with the most of the group at the highest minor league level. Plus, I think you get his first 200 PA slump out of the way. Of course, at this point, it's probably too late to bring him up this year. But if I was running the show, ideally I would have had: Alcantara up in June Baez up after the AS break Soler, Sept. callup 2014 Bryant up in early May 2015. Russell, let his bat dictate, but likely up b/w June-mid July 2015.
