  1. Prior deserves to make his return to the majors when the Sox come to Wrigley. I won't be at any of the games, but if I was, and he came into a game, I'd give him a standing ovation.
  2. Scoreless inning in game 2 of Pawtucket's double header today. No hits, 1 BB, 1 K.
  3. Stay classy, FOX. FOX can't help it. They're required to be morons. They employ people like Tim McCarver and Dick Stockton.
  4. I'm getting the Reds game. What is so damn bad about letting fans watch the team they want to watch? Why can't you just do that?
  5. I'm amazed they actually let him go 6 innings.
  6. Has he had a day off all season?
  7. Jake forgot to mention that Burnett will pitch a perfect game.
  8. I don't know how you missed that. It only got mentioned every time he pitched against the Cubs.
  9. He hit the Cubs' first home run this season IIRC.
  10. Would someone please tell me why DeJesus keeps trying to steal? He is not good at it at all.
  11. Soto is the only position player left on the bench.
  12. I hereby proclaim that the Cubs should only be allowed to play the Braves on May 7.
  13. 'cause Houston is really bad ?? If Houston is really bad, what does that make the Cubs?
  14. Bold prediction: Mather is going to homer today.
  15. I think Castro is getting the hang of this base stealing thing.
  16. And if the league doesn't even understand its own blackout rules, then they should just be done away with.
  17. The local or "home" markets for MLB teams are just absurd. The Cubs' home market includes all of Illinois except for a chunk around St. Louis, the entire state of Iowa, and all of Indiana except for chunks around Evansville, Louisville, and Cincinnati. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/5/59/MLB_Blackout_Areas.png
  18. 180 miles should be far enough away, but MLB's blackout rules are [expletive]. :banghead:
  19. So, how long until Beliveau gets called up? If he keeps this up, and if the Cubs keep having bullpen problems, it can't be long, can it?
  20. Ramirez deserves a standing ovation when he comes to the plate, but I expect he'll get booed.
  21. He's now leading the majors in stolen bases.
  22. I don't think they're going to be that good either, but I do think it's a bit early to call them the Cobs.
  23. Cobbed already, eh? The Cubs started 0-2 in 2008, too.
  24. I like playing Fun with Sample Sizes early in the season. For example, David Freese is on pace to drive in 324 runs while hitting no homers.
  25. Seriously, could the Marlins have made that home run celebration monstrosity any gaudier?
