  1. Bradley can't even break a bat right now...how would you expect him to hit the ball?
  2. It's pretty sad when we are debating the merits of starting Blanco, Miles and Fontenot (as much as I like Baby Ruth)...We need A-Ram back in the worst way.
  3. I'm back baby....20 minutes ago I was ready for football, but I'm back! WTG CUBS! Great comeback win today!
  4. Come on Zo...end this right here and be the hero!
  5. BACK 2 BACK JACKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. D-LEE! (A veritable offensive explosion!) Now let's come back and win this game!!!
  7. At what point does Lou start to be held responsible for this dead man walking team? The next "gritty" play will be our first in a month!
  8. I hadn't noticed before but after reaching a high water mark of 566 in mid-May Aaron's OPS has slipped back below 500. Fantastic acquisition. Why is Lou still playing him?????? It boggles my mind. Because our expected part-time 2B is starting at 3B because we had to save $4M this year to afford a .220 hitter...
  9. This may be the worst expensive non-hitting Cubs team in quite some time. (Frankly, I don't care how bad his defense is, but actual hitters like Jake Fox need to be in the lineup Lou)
  10. Maybe it's not a hitting coach we need as much as a shrink...This team seems to be all mental right now.
  11. Do the Cubs realize that everyone in the league has been able to hit Danks this year?
  12. My man-love for D-Lee has returned!
  13. Wonder if it was his good knee or the one giving him problems?
  14. I'm sorry to see all of our concerns now coming to life with Bradley. I preferred Ibanez, Abreu or Dunn at the time and certainly still do today.
  15. There is something that this team really doesn't like about bases-loaded situations.
  16. Sure hope May is a lot better! Go Cubs!
  17. Marmol, coming off the injury break was kind of predictable though. Having your best relief pitcher walk in two runs should never be acceptable. I agree with Soriano that this team looks lackadasical and uninspired...
  18. Remind me to only watch every 3rd game when the Cubs seem to play well... After all these years I still wonder how a team can look so good one night, only to completely play like crap the next day...
  19. Sure glad to let go a pitcher with a 0.00 ERA for Cotts...I wouldn't want to lose someone like Cotts to another team...
  20. Bruce also said Milton will bat 6th. I think part of that reflects how the pitchers approached Ramirez this week. He's the Cubs best hitter, and pitchers do not have any incentive to give him anything to hit. They threw at him a couple times, hitting him at least once. With the non-entities of Fontenot and Soto behind him, why not just plunk him repeatedly? Wonder if this was Bradley's idea or Lou's to sit him down? Well, it's all upside from here since Bradley really couldn't have gotten off to a worse start with the Cubs. He has as many ejections as hits and has missed more games than he has played...
  21. Not to mention a few questionable 3-2 calls that went against him. The OBP may be over .300. Yeah, but the problem is that all of the boarderline calls are likely to go against him because of his past transgressions. that's why I had a real problem with him losing it last week. You're never going to get a call acting like that all the time.
