    Actually, I got to meet Ozzie at a golf outing, and while you can't understand half of what he says and the other half are f-bombs, he was a really cool guy to meet. Took the time to sign autographs, take pics and hang out. Now, the self-genius that is Kenny Williams....that's another thing...

    Cubs showed some heart today fighting back, but you can't walk two guys in a tie ballgame and expect to win. Let's get another winning streak started tomorrow.

    He does have his share of puzzling moves, but I don't think you get the 14th most wins in MLB history by being a complete tool.

    Nice comeback that inning....Does it drive anyone else nuts when pinch hitters come in and swing at the first pitch, especially with the tying run on third?

    When the team is underperforming across the board, you got to look one place, and that's in the dugout. Maybe our next call up from the minors should be Ryno...because our current manager seemingly can't get this team ready to play baseball.

    It used to be that you'd hear Ronnie groan a couple of times a game, but now it's to the point where his sighs, groans and ah-mans are making the radio broadcast unlistenable. I gave up on him actually providing a useful insight some time ago, and I was willing to put up with his act because of his undying love of the Cubs, but he might just be the worst broadcaster in baseball today. It's time that he become a Cubs ambassador and give the mike to someone who can actually support one of best play-by-play guys in the business.

    If A-Ram is his own hitting coach as he claims, he should fire himself! Every swing he makes is a HR cut when all we needed was a damn single to win the game. Nah, why would you pay attention to the best hitting coach in the game when you already apparently know everything...what a pile of crap this team is right now... Meanwhile, a real team just went back-to-back.....Blackhawks 2-0!

    My real hope at this point is that last year at this time I thought D-Lee's best days were behind him, and then it turned it on and had a great year. Anytime he (and Rammy) want to get started would be fine by me...

    Why all the hatred for this move? What more does Castro have to prove in the minors? He is batting .376, and I'm not sure simply having more time at AA would really do that much. Maybe he refines his patience at the plate and improves his glove a bit, but really?

    This team better not accept a paycheck for this heartless, uninspired pile of steaming garbage that was this series. Just when you think they've turned a corner, we get this...

    So much for thinking that this team might have actually turned it around a bit against the Brewers...we get three nice pitching performances and can't muster any run support against the Washington Nationals...guess the cold weather must have gotten to them....ha!

    or the outfielder who is hitting .351 with an OPS over 1.000 in the last two weeks. Maybe we just want to prove to everyone that Tracy should go when Castro comes up...

    As clutchless as it comes...I'm not sure how we get the lead-off hitter on in 6 of 8 innings, yet score only 2 runs......against the Nationals!

    Seriously, is this Lou's way of trying to get fired? Take the supposed "ace" of the staff and make him a relief pitcher??? Is that because we have so much faith in Silva and Gorzo? Truly and epically stupid!

    Nice rally by the boys today...we're far from a complete team yet, but I'm starting to get a better feeling about this team...Oh yeah, and welcome to dominance Mr. Marmol!

    Well, the first 15 minutes of the game couldn't have gone any better, followed by 3 hours of the worst possible baseball. At least there are 161 left to go, and I feel confident saying that it can't get any worse!

    We all know that Soriano will never live up to his contract, how can he? However, when healthy he was a big part of winning us two division titles in his first two years here and he did play hurt for most of last year. I could do without the hop before catches and swinging at any and all breaking stuff off the plate, but there is simply nothing to forgive him for.

    ...and why is Lou so convinced that Castro doesn't deserve a real shot as well. My only reason for not considering it is if they think it will be detrimental mentality if he struggles at first. Castro gives us better defense and speed than Fonty and quite possibly a livelier bat.

    Anyone think we should seriously consider bringing Colvin north instead of Fuld? He has been on fire so far. I love Fuld's glove but Colvin gets the nod with his bat.
